GitS: SAC DVD

I rented Stand Alone Complex volume 2 from Anime Forrest, and they sent me the DTS disc from the Special Edition. I don't even know what that means, but it has no sound on my TV. Does DTS require special equipment?

Yep, it requires a DTS decoder, thus meaning if you dont have the kit, you cant hear the audio -_-. Very very very few dvd players can play dts out of the box, but when it works, oh boy is it good.

Or you can turn over the disk to the other side?

The GitS discs are not double sided.

The DTS disk was only supposed to come with the special edition, but the cover art got switched on some discs and as a result some regular editions got packed with the DTS edition instead of the Dolby Digital edition.

The problem is he rented it, so he can't swap it...
Anyway, just tell anime forest about the problem. They should send you a regular disc right away, without charging you for the additional rental.
