...Considering that guys opponent will be either Akame or Tatsumi he will probably fail as well.

They actually mentioned Grand General Budou back in Chapter 8, as someone equal to Esdese in power. He'll probably crush the Revolutionary Army, along with whatever hope there is in fruitful change, even if Night Raid managed to kill the Prime Minister; everything they have done would have been for nothing.

Actually, it mean the NR will do Budou a favor since he himself hates the PM and wants to crush him on his own. If the NR successfully manages to assassinate the PM while Budou fighting the RA, he will take the chance to seize power, unify the empire and probably thank the NR for helping him.

I think Budou will be one of the more reasonable member of the army who serve the empire because of loyalty and rather than just another psycho battle freak. It would be interesting to see if Budou fight the Night Raid despite both hating the corruption within the empire.

It would be kinda like the Bunchu vs Taikobou conflict in Houshin Engi

Well, the development is compatible with one that was long predicted: A growing rift between Empire and Jaegers. Compared to the new group which indiscriminately terrorizes the civilian population for their own enjoyment, the Jaegers are almost lawful. I doubt that the Jaegers will be able to get along with them well (especialy Wave).

at the moment there are no hints that Budou wants to deal with Esdese , and prime minister does not seems scared of Budou's plans to clean up the empire. Now, what has he planned to take out these two monsters? Make up plausible proofs that Esdese plans to overtake the empire? Kill the emperor and point the finger at Esdese?Wonder how the author will make up a plausible reason for the two to fight.The only plan i can think of would involve the Prime Minister knowing about Tatsuya and Esdese's relationship and tatsuya being in the NR/ Esdese fighting to protect her loved one from Budou(very unlikely)

I would really like if Wave decides to join Night Raid considering his current death flag status. At least he could go through a heroic death. However, it would also require Kurome to join them but that's hard to see.
