Is Mone a Pokemon?
Well, I've been thinking about Mone only being able to say "Mone"... then it came to my mind that Pokemon can also say nothing but their name, so...
Could it possibly be that Mone is an as-of-yet unknown race of pokemon? Or could it be that Ash mated with one (or more) of the Pokemon, which resulted in such a result? |

Im not an expert on chobits, but I think the main character only says "chi", is she Chi-mon then ?
I can't recall any other characters, but the little things that only says on word is not a pokemon-exclusive, I've seen many who act like that... Last edited by mantidor; 2004-04-24 at 23:27. Reason: instead of can id CAN'T sorry that completly change the meaning... |

Not so with Mone. She didn't have an accident or something that could have reduced her speech abilities, and she doesn't learn how to speak normally either. This doesn't make her look any moe at all, it rather makes her look somewhat retarded Not implying that she is retarded or something, mind you, but someone could get that impression... Also, adding a word or syllable at every sentence, or speaking of one self in the third person clearly isn't a speech impediment |

I don't know what you're talking about. There are several pokemon that have the ability to speak. That means that all pokemon have the potential to speak more than their own name. Since Mone does not have that potential, she is not a pokemon.

I have no idea where this falls under. Hmm...I can see Ash mating with a pokemon b/c one night when he was drunk he heard "poke her man" when someone was talking about pokemon. It was a one-night stand. The pokemon wouldn't return his calls or his letters. any ways...yea, it's just to be cute, kind of annoying at times. Maybe she was just trying to say "money" b/c she's broke or "horny" b/c well...

actually, is really three words? in english you count the "It's" as one word only?? Back on topic: The one world speech is used for cutness IMO. Doesn't mokona from Magic Knight Rayearth speaks only one word??? ( I think she speak none...I can't remember). |

Hardly A conjunction would be "and", "or" etc.
"it's" is contracted from the personal pronoun "it" and the verb "is". Back in my school, the use of such contractions was frowned upon (since it was no proper English, they said) and was thus marked as an error. |
