It's metacritic review maybe 95 based on 35 critics but it has no viewer reviews at all and Skyrim has a metacritic review of 96/95/95 (Xbox/PS3/PC) from over 100 critics and a thousand user reviews... a higher score and one with a much higher sampling of review which actually should hurt the review not help it.

Look I'll give Skyward Sword the title of best Wii game ever but that's not a high praise (i think think of only a dozen truly good ones and maybe 5 ones that might stand the test of time)... wii was a nice idea that failed to deliver and worse yet is so under powered it should have been phased out years ago. Skyward Sword will be remembered as one of the games earning the title best game you never played. It's controls will, hopefully, revolutionize motion hand controled games but it will take time for use to see the trickle effect of it and by then wii will be being phased out and PS3's Move and wii's successor will reap the benefits (maybe kinect too).

Look I played Morrowind just a few years after Ocarina of Time and both games are amazing and shouldn't be compared since they are so different. However Skyward Sword is really Ocarina of Time 2 (a bloody sequel when you get down to it, but with very good motion control system that feels alive at times (and that is the games best part but as stated loses it's appeal fast)) and Skyrim is a re-imagining of Morrowind and not a version 2 or 3. Everything has changed that needed to, from the target market of hardcore only rpg fans to a game for virtually anyone whom should be playing a M (mature) rated game that is what you make of it... Playing this version as a warrior is vastly different than a stealth character best yet there is actually no class system at all now, you are the skills you use making the replay value extremely appealing.

Skyward Sword is an attempt at making a cross between the more grown up Ocarina of Time/Twilight Princess and the insanely childish Wind Waker. The game is based on the idea of appeasing everyone, which anyone with half a brain will see through... it's a poor attempt (art style wise) at kid retro. I just have to say either go fully retro or don't try... Now lets get to the characters Zelda is all about being cute and loli (instant fail in my books) and the villain looks like that guy from The Fifth Element but with white hair. I'm all for text based games so I won't knock that and the plot is good... but I did find some of the sound effects unappealing to older audiences (it's clearly aimed at young kids) and the games design is very much an after thought meant to appear to no one by not going to either extreme from a Zelda game.

Plus the Skyward Sword is actually a small game (map size)... it runs on DragonAge II's philosophy of we can't build a big game so lets send you back to the same Dungeon 15 times instead to fit all the plot we want in the game but keep it the size we need for x reason (x reason being the wii itself being a pos hardware wise and is insanely dated).

Once again... no offence but from what I've played so far of Skyward Sword, Skyrim is a far better game IMHO. I'll admit Skyward Sword is very good and makes me a bit nostalgically of Ocarina of Time but it's only great IMHO since it's the first very good Zelda game since Ocarina of Time.

That's some of the reasons why I'm not interested at all in the Wii. Nevertheless, we should return proper discussion back to the thread.

No i'm not being delusional. Skyward sword is a new and exciting game unlike any other. I think you are the delusional one if you think that it is the same as OOT. They are 2 different games.

I like that Zelda is esclusive to only the Wii. It makes it special. I mean you wouldn't want a girlfriend who has 2 other boyfriends at the same time would you?

PS3's Move and Kinect were just poor attempts to mimic Wii's motion controls. You really can't deny that. And Skyward Sword is the best sort of motion controls so far. The next Zelda game will be on the Wii U. so i don't know what that will be like.

I'm beggining to even wonder if you have seen the game. The art style is very interesting and the cell-shaded colors are great. It was a great attempt and a greater success. The graphics may seem childish but thats the exact same thing that they said about the Wind Waker, and that turned into another spectacular game.

yes, it is that way so that children can play it too. But that just means a larger audience. It doesn't have all the useless violence and innapropriate language that would make it so that children can't play it. It is based on the fact that all the millions of zelda fans around the world will buy it to play. I read an article that said that the game was even worth buying an entire Wii just to play it. Its that amazing of a game.

Thats not really true at all. You are mistaken. The game itself is said to be the biggest Zelda game that Nintendo have ever made, even if it only has a few dungeons there is so much you can do.

I have played skyrim myself and it feels just like oblivion, its entertaining but after about 45 minutes i got bored and stopped playing it because i felt that the plot was lame and that it would take far to long to actually get into something interesting. I can't play games like Dragon Age or Skyrim for more than 2 hours because they get boring. While for Zelda games i can play those for 7 hours on end. When i played Twilight Princess on the Wii (fantastic game of course) i would play it from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM sometimes. Zelda games are just made better. and Skyward Sword will be an amazing game. I also find that Nintendo games are just better games all around. Games like modern warfare feel the same and i am always disapointed by them (except recently because i expected nothing great from MW3, and i was right). But Skyward Sword will probably have the best gameplay of any game that has come out this year.


Skyward is a great game, Skyrim is a good game too ( it has pretty good graphics and is pretty fun) but i would never put it above Skyward Sword. However, i do somewhatly agree that the games are hard to compare because they are so different. but in overall gameplay and plot i would say that Skyward sword is a better game.

Anyways my only complaint is that the artist gave her golden eyes when her eyes where clearly still human like and not cat like... they should have been silver. As to the hair it's mostly amazing (not sure I like the central parting though) and the skin is done pretty well but has some color choices (lighting/shading effects) that don't quite match the rest in some places.

Right Arm from character's point of view:

the shading is off (appears to be two light sources instead of the one that works for all the others), there should be some on the inner elbow area (like how it is done on her armpit) and it should be light >>>> dark type of shading going left to right

Not doing it, does make the shaded area look completely flat instead of cylindrical. This could also be solved by putting some shading on top of the right bicep. Also the line for her inner-forearm is off when it reaches the elbow, it should taper in at the last moment or even just be somewhat straight instead of going in the other direction. Even a less severe slope would be more acceptable.

Also, instead of the shadow tapering in/down when reaching the elbow it should taper up a little in a half moon around the point of the elbow, which is the opposite of what was done.

The reason most people don't notice, is because aside from this she is naked
