Ah, so maybe the animation studio just wrongfully assumed the 'scene' happens in both arcs....?

On that note, there was a line in the anime in Watanagashi that didn't appear in Meakashi.

That would be Shion's remark that she "performed the Watangashi skillfully"

Is there significance to that? Because in Meakashi they never show her doing any Watanagashi.

That's probably a mistranslation/misinterpretation. Shion never said that.

Was it the scene where she's screaming after she stabs Keiichi in the stomach? Then she was saying "I DID IT!"

It was when she brought Keiichi into the torture chamber to show him her sins. After she shows him the device, she said "she performed the Watangashi skillfully."

ah, that part. Shion was lying. Ever since Shion confessed in front of Rena & Kei-chan and became the the heiress "Mion," she was throwing lies after lies after lies. She wanted to see if either one (epecially Keiichi) would notice that she wasn't their friend Mion. IMO, it was the best scene/internal monologue in Meakashi Hen which DEEN sadly dropped.

Her "reasoning" for killing Riko and Sotoko were just kuko land. Too bad she didn't die just before that. Just crazy the way she is thinking of Shitochi. How long did they even know eachother? How many times did they even met?Mio was the one who knew him and went to school with him.
