.. Up until now, I assumed that all the stories were taking place in a modern Japanese city. If Yoshitsugu's ticket was paid in Euros (and she needed a plane ticket), she must have landed in Europe, with an Angel in America...
You're absolutely right. It was Finland. And how I know? The scene with the police show Finnish Police uniform, emblem, and text(police=poliisi), and several of the background shots looked somewhat familiar to Helsinki.

It also looked a bit like it was from an earlier time period, but if they used Euros that can't be the case though...

It was pure luck I spotted that, I don't follow this but happened to scroll through this particular episode to see if it had changed any, after dropping it at the earliest episodes...

That surprised me but yes it did not land in Japan but in another country ... Then for the episode at the beginning I felt sorry for her then a little happy that she found it was a confidante and a sad end has drawn a tear in me I was tight or heart... :'(

that's my impression of this episode is next to Akechi Mitsuhide will have ... action! xD

For the curious, Angel was played by Tomosa Murata, aka Yuno Gasai. Good performance. The end of this episode hinged on the way the letters were read, and both she and newcomer Haruka Shiraishi (who played Yoshitsugu) delivered.

For next week (and the weeks thereafter), Mitsuhide will be played by Yoko Hikasa.

Sad story of this episode TT TT......

But Nobunaga can't take her secret treasure because she's in different country.

yes very sad

I thought this is something that all the characters fall in our time in the same place where they were in the Sengoku period? It would be possible is not it?

I'm deciding if this was the best episode from this show ^^

The suspense was so good, even if it was predictable, the end was so sad.

Really loved it.

I think it was a bit inspired from Daddy-Long-Legs.

This show need more episodes like this, and less episodes like ep 2, 13, or 15.

But the funny or the random ones are ok.
(seriously, this second season was crappy until this episode)

I have to say, that episode cut a little closer to the bone than I might have liked.

I guess that's a sign of how well it was made; though I do hope they add a more promising coda for Yoshitsugu later on in the series.

I make no bones about the fact that I mostly watch anime for light entertainment and relaxation. I'm not looking for angst, but if it is there, it had better be done well. This was done well. After watching Natsuyuki Rendezvous I believed I'd seen the best episode of the week, now there's competition. A messy complex of feelings revealed through irony and symbolism versus a deceptively simple, beautifully told, sad little fable; does one have to choose? I'll take both and be grateful for the fact that anime occasionally gives me more than I ask for.
