Episode 91 Discussion Thread

-Inoue is healing matsumoto when a mysterious person shows up
-more ichigo getting his ass kicked by kariya
-kariya explains how the bount are a creation of SS and how they were used by them hence why they seek revenge
-kariya threatens to stab ichigo with his zanpakutoh but then ichigo calls out to zangetsu and after some cheesy speech about wanting the power to protect he goes ban kai
-ichinose wants to jump in and help but he has the gate preparations
-ishida shows up with his temp powers, he helps the bount open the door to SS, kariya thinks he did it because he's for their cause, however ishida says he's doing it for his reasons
-the bount head to SS and kariya tells ichigo and ishida to follow, afterwards yoruichi with craptacular hisagi show up
-yoruichi lectures ishida for his actions, he explains that his powers are limited but if they fight in SS they are amplified, yoruichi tells him that goes for the bount as well
-matsumoto calls histugaya to get permission and ichigo says let's go to SS
-episode ends with kariya coming out of the gate somewhere over seireitei saying time to start his revenge
-shinigami cup was the conversation matsumoto had with histugaya which was funny

Don't get me wrong it was a good episode as far as this filler goes but it was full of that shonen cheese

Whatever reasons Ishida did what he did, then are concerned to the Shinigami's fault.

After all, they were the Shinigami who came later to handle a hand to his grandfather, and the latter ultimately got killed by hollows.

The loss of Yoshino indirectly can be attributed to SS for having tampered nature to create the Bount.

Does it look like Kariya wants to get even at SS for his wretched existence? or has another ulterior motive?

Well this wasn't quite as exciting as I would have hoped. As hi no ken stated, there was a lot of cheesiness this episode backed up by more dialogue than I would have thought for an action episode.

A, that's a shame. I was expecting a good episode. Seems that's not the case.

Ishida sure comes across as a selfish twat. But, I'll forgive if we get to see Kenpachi kick Ichinose's butt. -nod nod-

Anyway, I'm still looking forward to all the juicy SS battles that will ensue now. Ichinose/Kenpachi, Ishida/Kariya, etc. Not to mention Byakuya and Hitsugaya battling... the other Bound. >.<

I can't bring myself to get excited about a Byakuya fight. I just can't see him losing at all to any of those Bountos that would be left for him. I think he'd just beat them way too quickly. And if he doesn't, then I'd be sad. So either way I don't win.

Actually, I just thought of the possibility of that emo Bound's doll taking over someone's body again... maybe Byakuya will fight someone stronger after all

If these Bount really suck up spirit energy like batteries, then it might not even be inconceivable that it would take more than a few captains to take them down.

errm......i dunno if those lame bountos are worthy opponents for byakuya and hitsugaya. They might be strong, but those two captains are one of the ace captains from the gotei 13. Maybe if that mad-scientist captain or that hippy lookin captain fight those lame bounto it would seems reasonable. Beside that mad-scientist captain probably has something to do with that explosion that supposely gave birth for those bountos.

But to take out the top tier captains for those underlings? seems kinda over kill for me. Ichinose/kenpachi fight should be the highlight of this arc (i mean....filler). also that selfish ishida bastard kicking kariya's pale behind have to be another big fight for this one too. I think those vice-captains should be able to those low level bountos since they won't have any restriction over their power in Soul Society. Dammit....why the story keep dragging on and on forever. Even the manga is heading towards a posible crappy arc......

Is it just me or the thing inside the tube that caused the explosion look a lot like hogyokou? could that be those bounto are by-product from the creation of hogyokou?

Don't forget the mind control doll that orange-haired Bound has... it could easily take control of Byakuya if what they said is true about SS powering them up(the doll gains speed + stronger hold on host's mind).

If Byakuya, or even Hitsugaya gets taken, then there'll be something to worry about...

Will be interesting. There won't be a cat and mouse game anymore. The bount are in SS and ready to attack. This will just be an all out brawl with a cliché shocker about whatever info mayuri was hiding...

Just when I thought it was getting close to the end of the shi---I mean, fillers they add a twist that will no doubt mean months more of really bad story, really bad animation, and extremely bad dialogue.

now now.....the filler itself wasn't half bad either. sure they have some bad episodes where everything was just like.......aw shit....i wasted 23 min of my life watching this crap.

but they usually only give out crappy episode every other week......or maybe every other couple weeks.........besides i think they only doing this until the movie is launch on japan this winter. so.......10 months of fillers is not that bad.......compare to almost 2 years like some other anime out there........ (y'all know which one it is)

When Ichigo started going bankai I was hoping big explosion, good way to redeem themselves, bring it on!! And then sadly dissapointed. Was cool he stopped the attacks so easily when he just used his sword but eh..

at least its the 3rd appearance of bankai ichigo on the fight. it was good. deflecting and having a cut on kariya's face lol.


now lets maybe see 4th apperance of bankai ichigo in SS.maybe ishida + ichigo do the resolve on killing some baddies = kariya of coz

Eh bankai is meant to overpowered. Something that is suppose to take thousands of years to obtain should be....

Suddenly this filler dosen't seem that bad at all. Hope the SS part of the filler wont disappoint
