Great example of how to put depth on a sig (though i think you shouldn't included his eyes
anyway agree with anyone, text placement is nice, and you improved on placing some c4d only need to practice the blending a bit more, and in no time you will feel comfy on making some c4d type sigs. Speaking of smudge I think there was a great tutorial here on how to make a smudge sig. Ah here it is http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=2936801 smudge brushes are also on the pic, there's a link there. oh btw about what you asked, Cilogie and visitor are the fonts that I'm using and can be found at dafont.com There are several ways how to blend a text, but the most eye-catching one is the use of clipping tool. Here is a sample http://blogs.sitepoint.com/2009/10/0...-in-photoshop/

@Patchy
O_O I didn't mean to include his eyes...must have been an accident ^^; Ooh...smudge tut? Wish I could do it but no time for me ;_; I have only managed to do two of the tuts you sent me -_- I use Ernest for pixel fonts (I mean instead of Visitor ). I will have to take a look at Cilogie, thanks for sharing the info <3 I did tell Sworn about the clipping masks; I don't think she managed to try it yet. @Sworn You are becoming famous now Or at least your thread is ^.^

Thanks Patchy and Star!! Yay for a famous thread!
ooh star thank you so much I am going to steal that if you don't mind ^-^ and then try it out again later. As for the light source, any suggestions? I will try out those fonts and get some new ones too ^-^ I love fonts. The blue-ness was literally a fluke. I was trying to do something different actually and ended up doing a fill-type-but-not-really-thing...and with the diff blendings i already had I liked it. I can *try* to make it less blue but I don't know how I would do that/how it would turn out really... I just googled "FMA renders" and found one I liked. and then looked for a bg I liked. Would y'all believe me if i said there was NO C4D in this sig? ;D just an epic blue bg and black and white brushes. and then diff blendings and a random fill-y thing. Then I put the text on the hand and messed with the blending. ^-^

Quick reply: I added light source just above Ed's head towards the left...
EDIT: You can't really steal after telling me Go ahead, do whatever you want with it. Again with the light source, you can either choose bottom left or top left; I put mine in the top left. And I still love the blue.... Oh, I think the bg itself was done using C4Ds You need to share that bg I found some of the others tuts I used before, want those? Btw, congrats on getting your second bar! I want chocolates!! But really, congrats <333333

Hey Sworn-san I'd love to show you how I got my most recent real-people sigs to look the way they do, it's just that I have a mandatory study period right now >.< So until I get back in a couple of hours, I recommend that you get ready by getting some smudge brushes

Did you update your first posts with your recent sigs? I think you should make a chronicle arrangement of sigs in your first post. At least for now...
Oh, about the sigs, it's ok I have so many brushes too, that I don't know where to use them ^^; I will upload the tuts after I come home (Practical exams today ;_; Not really hard, but I am nervous)

Nah, I just haven't been in touch with anyone much lately other than Patchy to ask a sig question, and Arbidere re: the sig.
Thanks!! ^-^ It was image+resize (easy)+lighting brushing onthe corner+gradient map +blured text+border.

Oh the one with the black stroke on the outside (looks like glowed with a black color) version of visitor right? About the clipping masks, personally I haven't tried that either . Quote:
Yup fonts/texts are sometimes were the eye-catching part of the sig, so I think you should also try some different things on that part. I really really thought that the bg you used was a manual c4d labor really a great find on that bg, and nope that was not fluke I think, it only portray that you are improving quite so much Ok some BG links to help (this is the only things that I can help with, posting some helpful links ) http://wincustomize.com/explore/wallpapers the wallpapers here are so many, the best one are the abstract ones I think, and some of them are c4d bg.

Thanks Patchy and actually you are very nice ^-^
I will experiment with fonts and bg's. Yeah, I just did some search on bg's and found it...it's from a site called fotolia. And then I added brushes which are the black and white swirly thingies. Thanks for the link will surely use it!!!

Hey, like Patchy says, don't water down your own talents ^-^ The sig turned out so good cuz you worked hard on it and you are getting better dad by day ^.^ I would totally give you cookies but…I need to be more active in giving out cookies -_- I will give you laterz (that is, if you don't end up making another great one )
Oh, I keep forgetting but what were you auditioning for? And how did it go ? What is it you were going to tell me?! I am sorry, dad slept for only 2 hours, so I got the net only for 30-40 mins today -_-; (dad should try sleeping more, it's bad for his health But he has so much work -_-; ) Can we talk about it in pm then? I would love to hear it And the tutorials, I am uploading it now (ouch @ my net speed >.<) Spoiler for huge tut:
The first one, it's kinda complicated but a good one. I used it once before. Uses some nice techniques and quite helpful; I would suggest you to try this whenever you have time. Spoiler for Tut 2:
Second one, basic but effective. You can make nice sigs really fast Third one; has nice blending Nice style which I at times use to make bgs more effective. Last one…never really used it but it seemed nice when I was rummaging through my collection (I should have had been studying but I am down right upset, so I was checking out old stuff on PC). Nice and new blending style. I haven't used any of the tuts recently (other then the ones Patchy sent ) I hope those are ok with you and your PC (I don't claim to own any tut so please don't sue me) Quote:
Um...no, Ernest font is different, I think. I love clipping masks, btw. Used it recently in a real-person sig I did in request thread Btw, you are really nice and helpful, a lot more then a lot of people I know, so stop saying it the other way around
