which brings me to my next question, is there any other way to open a gpx file, well other than gp6? haven't really tested it with tuxguitar with updated java. or is there another way? (well, if not, i guess i could request for someone to convert it to gp5 for me. o man, i feel sort of like a parasite now, always asking for help, without giving some in return. sorry about that)

Don't take it bad, asking questions is a good thing! I love passing my knowledge to others simply because I enjoy helping others! It doesn't matter if you don't give anything in return, all that is matters is that you understand. Which I think would anybody happy! About .GPX. It is a new standard format type for Guitar Pro 6, and I don't think any programs support .GPX other then Guitar Pro 6? I could be wrong.
Here is a good resource if you are trying to convert a random .GPX file. Use Tab-explorter Click 'Choose File' , and take the tab thats in GPX format. Then click 'Open' This is the neat part, at the top right of the score box of the tab there should be formats that you can download the tab in like Guitar Pro 5, and other formats. Click Guitar Pro 5 format since Tux Guitar can play it Last edited by Afternoon Tea; 2011-08-14 at 12:44. |

I can convert it to .gp5. I was planning to do that anyway so I'll just share it (and I'll add the link to the master list while I'm at it). Here's the .gp5

Kinda off topic, but what's the difference between GP5 and GP6? I'm on GP5 at the moment, so is it worth the upgrade?
Also, would any of you be able to quickly tab the clean section of this song? It's only on the version from the PSP game, but it sounds really nice with the rest of the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9l6i...eature=related (it starts at 1:27) In return, I'll most likely record a cover of the song once I get my smexy new 720p webcam. If you click on the track, down on the track list, where it says the name of the track (e.g. Synth I or Synth II), along the upper left side of the track properties window there's a checkbox that says "Tablature", right underneath the "Musical Notation" checkbox. Check it to show the tab.
GP6 has a few advantages over GP5. It has a much better RSE, a lot more musical notation options, grand staff support on the piano, slash notation and some other stuff. I think the performance requirements are slightly higher though, as it lags on my computer. I have both but prefer GP5.

Yuuzora À la Carte is done. When I first cracked open Ritsu's character album I was expecting the B-side to be something more along the lines of Mezase Happy 100%, but this was a pleasant surprise.
LOVE is coming up next....who's excited about that?

Love is done. You like metal? This song has all the shredding, power chords, rapid muted notes, and double bass action that you need. This was actually one of my fastest tabs ever because there's no complicated chords and almost no synths. Man, were those solos fun to tab, though. Now I just have to learn how to play them.
Joyful Todays is next.

hmmm, have a bit of question, about the artificial harmonic at the start (which indeed sound really weird). what's the root note of the harmonic, or the note, exactly. because if i get it correctly, you can change the note of an artificial harmonic (pinch harmonic) just by adjusting the distance from the bridge. so is the harmonic in E? thanks.
