I do agree that it's sad that anime is mainly for LN advertisement. The anime even fails to get some people to read the LN, at least outside Japan if we go by what the people in this site say.

Season 3 of DxD was bad but Seasons 1 and 2 were fine.

To its credit the LN advertisement thing worked. I mean a great example is Seiken Tsukai no World Break which despite being part of the horror harem four got you at least curious about it

Seasons 1 and 2 of DxD were fine, yes, but there's some stuff left out and it seems more pervy than the LN, too. There were also some minor changes on the Student Council Vice President's looks, but it's not the first time an anime adaptation did that.

Madan anime was rushed and cut out too much important stuff. Gotta wonder why they think people will want to read the LN of an anime that looks as bad as they make it look.

The fact that they're adapting an anime and don't copy it normally is an absurdity in it's own right. Fact is some stories just simply shouldn't be animated because it takes a lot of the fun away. By the way it's easy to make an ecchi show more ecchi because you can use words to imagine the scenes but reality never quite does it justice. That's how eroticism is.

DxD and Madan had a lot of scenes I wanted to see animated. One major part that comes to mind for DxD is Ise's Diabolos Dragon form. That thing would be epic if it was animated. For Madan, it'd be Tigre's Charged Arrow Shot with Bargren's power. Or anything else that the anime didn't (get to) animate.

Scenes I wanted to see was a more in depth version of his training/torture with Tannin, some of the side stories like Raiser's guts training, the Triana ver Caocao, Sairoarg vs Ise, Gasper Balor vs whoever and the Diabolos Dragon God form.

But if the manga or novel they're adapting has a lot of ecchi then it's very very likely that the animation will cut out everything but the main points and mainly be fan service and ecchi.

Lisha short story

Lisha's storie was pretty much Lisha learning how to cook so she can use it to gain Lux affection points. She asked people and even spied on Lux to see what was his favourite food. Lisha saw Lux making stew. So she assumed that Lux's favourite food was a stew and she asked the chef how to make it. She called him one day so she could cook for him. Lux also started cooking something too. Both of them ended up making the same stew. Lux was only making the stew before so he could give it to Lisha. So at the end both of them ate each other's stew.

Kruluciger short story

One day Lux got a strange quest. It was from a creepy girl who wanted to know Krulucifer's weakness. She wants to find because Krulicfer saw her secret (pretty much a note about who she likes or something. Damn lesbian). She threatened by saying she would take action to find Krulucifer's weakness on her own. So Lux decided to find Krulucifer's weakness so the creepy girl wont danger Krulucifer.
Lux tried but he couldnt find anything. The creepy girl had to go for an excursion so the time was ticking. Krulucifer knew that Lux was acting strange and pretty much saw through what was happening. Krulucifer decided to help Lux in finding her weakness. At the end there was nothing (Lux did look at her breast which she gave him a cold eyes for). Then this time Krulucifer tried to check if her earlobe was her weakness. She made Lux touch it. She started making sounds and Lux also was about to lose sanity. And they stopped.
So at the end Krulucifer talked to the girl and convinced her by telling her secret (Pretty much who she likes and we all know the answer for that).

Basically dealing with her inability to socialise with her peers, she ignore training plans and did her own training, doesn't listen to instructors, no regards for the rules to waking up and sleeping, hiding assassination tools while changing, stripping as she please etc leading to Lux having to deal with it. BTW, all this are just half of it.
Bittersweet ending where Nokuto and Airi became her first friends......and proceed to tease how Lux has SM hobbies (Nokuto had to go help clean up the dungeon lol)
