Merge or seperate... after all inner can be sociable as well. I always thought of them as two individuals, merging would mean to kill those two to some extent, so I'd rather have the magical seperation route

But if you go the magical seperation route, then you're forcing Tsukune into a position where he has to choose which girl he wants. Outer and Inner both love Tsukune, and he loves both of them as well. If Inner and Outer are seperated into two individuals, you're putting Tsukune into a bad position of genuinely loving both girls and having to choose one, since I can't really see Inner and Outer sharing him.

Well if we follow the anime clearly Tsukune likes outer Moka. Manga basing well he cares for all the girls.

Also Inner Moka is the true Moka in/out combined remember R+Vseaon1 manga chapter 38 the "REAL" Rissu mirror incident that didn't separate Inner and Outer, but instead what we see is Inner Moka and outer is gone. Also Inner Moka before is also a little colder to Tsukune, she uses Tsukune only to be out, but with the Rissu mirror she can transform anytime to her Inner self. That chapter is one of the corner stone on everyone's character development in R+V and a personal favorite as well.

Let's manga base this one since the real original story is within the manga.

anime Tsukune:

Tsukune - I can't decide who I like at the moment now...

Here in the manga we see Tsukune cares for the girls since he thinks all of them are irreplaceable. Due to inner Mok's pride she doesn't want to bother Tsukune, we see more of her pride in Mizore's Ice Village arc where in she fought her sister and was injured, Mizore was willing to go with the group, Inner Mok's kicks Mizore's face and said she'll win, but indirectly Inner Moka is concern about her friend.

Which is why the manga is better than the anime.

Keep in mind one little thing- in the anime, he's definitely more Outer based, but in manga, he's more towards Inner (though he definitely likes Outer as well)

and the proof? Ch. 16 (still one of two favorite chapters, the other being 15)

Anime Tsukune definitely likes Outer Moka as we see in Capu2's ending.

Uhm that was the training chapter right? So what does he actually do or say that makes you think he likes inner more than all the other girls?

The ending is only a tease. Anime Tsukune likes Outer more. Otherwise more concern towards Inner when she was out freely.(man he handled her like anyone else in the harem...not like Outer)
I think it's the opposite with manga Tsukune...

the anime failed in so many ways... that's my only real opinion about it

and as you'll see when the next chapter of Water Bride is up (as soon as Tempest finishes editing it and then we go back and forth about the details), you'll see how I personally interpret his relationship with Moka and the rest of the girls... assuming Tempest didn't cut that

To be fair, in the anime Tsukune clearly favors Outer, whereas in the manga he cares for both Inner and Outer equally.

That and the anime horribly screwed up the relationship between Inner and Outer. They're supposed to be like sisters, dammit, not jealous rivals.

probably the moment they decided to make her into a mousepad. they sure did go the extra step with both of them, especially kokoa. all the others were wearing their usual clothing, ruby got the swimsuit and kokoa lost her shirt.
