Actually, the reason I want true harem ending is for Restia and Est (oh, and Rinslet. Definitely Rinslet). IMHO, it's next to impossible getting dual spirit ending cuz author's "muh first girl".

Indeed, the contrast can be seen in the writing itself, nevermind the fact that plot developments go her way too.

As early as volume 4, Kamito has shown some form of jealousy when some flippant crown prince grabbed Claire's hand. The only other person he's shown jealousy for is Restia.

Author might get the crap idea to replace Restia with Claire in Kamito's heart.

The treatment given to Claire really is alot different in the novel. Reading "Claire and the girls" all the time really makes me angry. Also right after every big moment for one of the girls, the author switches to Claire pov of something else, or Kamito meeting Claire.

Est is almost always number 1 in character ranking. However, the current top is Restia and Leonora after volume 15. Maybe the author will realise that harem ending is the way to go.

Well, Claire ending would be a very very bad ending. To be perfectly honest, it would be the worst ending. Every other female characters are much much better than her.

It's been pretty clear that it's going to be a Claire end for quite a while now.

Est and Restia are his contracted spirits so they'll be with him as well, plus the whole Darkness Elemental Lord Princess Maiden thing makes me think the other girls will be there as mistresses, but Claire is undoubtedly the first wife.

Wait, seriously? author really said that, i mean if you look back at Rinslet's role in past volume..well it's hard to believe not to mention among girls, she received less plot and less moments with Kamito (except volume 13), i think that's not something you do with your favorite character

Despite Claire's relatively unappealing, plot-induced existence, the real problem here is Kamito. He is part of a dying breed of old-school masochistic herbivore MCs who seem to (over time) favor first girl over anyone else. He makes it pretty clear right now that he is not interested in polygamy. Whether or not that will change is up to the author.

If he feels like it, he could make the whole princess maiden thing a gimmick for gags, lewd scenes and power-ups for the girls but in terms of relationships, never amount to anything. For all we know, he could make a Claire end with the other girls stating they will never give (ugh).

Claire can be Darkness Queen for all I care. Despite how 'meh' she is to me, as long as the other girls can have a true romantic relationship with Kamito (be it concubine or wife) as well, I'm cool with it, but for some reason, I can't see this happening.

Then again, I don't think the author is going to let Fianna marry anyone else.

Yeah, I was surprised myself for basically the facts you pointed out. He actually called himself out on that. He stated it in one of the afterwords. I don't remember quite well if it was in volume 13's afterword or another.

Do people really still consider Claire to be the "main girl"?

Between popularity poles in which the spirits blow away all of the human girls combined, constant reference to Restia's legal wife status, and Eat and Restia being central to all of Kamito's major development, it's pretty obvious she's fallen behind.

She certainly holds an advantage over the other human girls, but it took ten volumes and direct intervention from her sister to get to the "Darkness Maiden" thing, which at best is a lesser version of the bond with his spirits. And even that was eventually disseminated amongst the human girls.

Claire is Kamito's partner, something she's done a surprisingly good job of living up to by counterbalancing his power with effective strategy. But between his increasing importance on a world scale and the whole Demon King thing, her role has shifted to supporting him instead of leading the team.

At this point, her "main girl" status is no longer a real factor. Est and Restia are with him forever, the other girls have received his "blessing", and the story has dramatically shifted in favor of a harem end.

there's no reason to not go with the harem end at this stage
