The other problem is that ostensibly Renner's plan was for Climb to die and get raised so that she could then nurse him. That's what she said to her brother at the very least. In this case Demiurge should have rather ordered to kill Climb on sight. Of course it might very well be that Renner simply lied to her brother, but I don't think there was any need for her to do so, unless she's not satisfied of being seen as a monster and tries to look even more insane than she is.

Renner could have lied. Think of it this way, Climb was the one that found and saved a large portion of the kidnapped people. That would gain him tons of recognition and become a hero like Renner wanted everyone to see him as. But notice the lack of enemies that Climb and Brain encountered... if Demiurge really wanted those people kidnapped, they would have either been gone already or under strong guards. However, if she had sent Climb into danger for no reason and then everyone suddenly sees him come back as a hero, they might suspect that she was plotting something. |

Yeah, she had to tell her brother something to explain why she was willing to let Climb take such risks. (And it was risky. If Gazef hadn't come, Lakyus could have died.)
And she also had to either let Clmib go, or explain to him, in her persona as the saintly Golden Princess, why he couldn't try to go rescue the civilians. |

Obviously, it was a win/win situation for her.
If he returns safe: he went with Brain Unglaus, the result was expected to the eyes of the people. If he returns injured: it was expected, demons killed lots of people and being injured is better than being dead. If he dies: he gets revived, dying was a common occurrence, Renner takes cares of him because he died on her orders.

And even if light injuries are fine, you can't really trust the denizens of Nazarick to hold back competently. It's much easier to tell them not to hurt him at all. |

I wonder if the person who the Nazarick team have been ordered not to kill is actually the rogue, Lockmeyer? The lower part of the image we see produced by Entoma in episode 11 has boots on, in episode 13 Shalltear sees Climb in his armour but Lockmeyer is dressed in typical clothing and standing directly behind Climb.
The LN was sort-of secretive about introducing the rogue, not naming him until quite a bit later in the narrative.
