Disappointed they took out the interrogation "I won't lose this time" scene since that was the funniest part (IMO) in the manga chapter. I hope is was a "we need to cut something for time" rather than purposeful censoring since it makes less sense to cut that scene out to censor when you got a certain cat wandering around nude just in the OP.
But still impressive episode (though I didn't quite dig the fight since it didn't seem to have any menace to it) |

ok im really late but i loved episode 4 shit man expelled thats a bit harsh the only person who didnt seem to understand the situation was Blackstar but he and Maka had some cool moves when they are synced their power is insane, sigh too bad they cant control it. Im wondering why they didnt destroy their former sensei but took him prisoner?
I was surprised to find out that Moka's mom was Deathscythes 2nd partner thats a nice twist. I cant wait to see the baddie for next week Frankin Stein i believe it was thats pretty damn sweet.

^ Her name is "Maka," BTW.
Alrighty, so for the late show: - they moved the opening to the very end - no special eye-catch this time - Episode 5 trailer appears to be the first minute or so of the next episode (complete with Maka's opening line) |

Hurrah for this show! The cut from Blair to Maka frying eggs was classic. It's right after the prologue, and we're already at top speed, with a really over-strong looking bad guy! I wouldn't like to have Maka+Soul trashing my house with their randomly directed super-moves. Events! Enthusiasm!

This was a decent episode. Naruto Star was a little less anoying then normal, and the fight against Renji-sesei was pretty good. Maka unleashing bankai was pretty awesome. To bad she missed. Could have used more liz and patty to be a great episode.

Hardly any complaints about the pacing and editing of this episode. The only squick is that odd scene shift where a missing bit should be that manga readers say explains how the "true boss" is revealed.
Sigh, Maka needs to buy better gripping boots .... it seemed like Blackstar had to execute more defensive moves to save Maka's cute butt than she had to save his, um, ass but I didn't do a move-by-move count. Anyway, fast-paced episode with that great "lets shift over to see what our cat-girl is doing?" instant. Hilarious... Next episode looks to be equally hard driving --- even action-freaks may be happy to get the "character development" interlude episodes when they come.

Maka is adorable as usual, and poor Soul, feeling the violent end of jealousy when he didn't do anything, I like his "This Love Comedy... is not cool" line, lol. I guess getting kicked in the face out of the bedroom window does make you look less cool, lol.
