Revival !
Does anyone still play this ? I took a break for a while and came back for eye of the north stuff...seems they have changed a bunch of skills around again. I just had fun in fort aspenwood with a build I made up that does a 450~500 damage spike in 3 seconds with a bow. Instagibbing left and right. |

Very impressed with the trailer, I'm glad they show in-game footage. The game looks so much bigger, but the graphics look the same. Although it will improve overtime hopefully. I hope they will show some footage later on that is focus on gameplay. It sparked my excitement again a little bit on GW2

This is beautiful! Have been waiting for this for a while.
The graphics do look better but still retain that touch that makes it feel like it's Guild Wars. Only disappointment is that the Asura seem to have gotten a facial change for the worst. |

Seriously, I didn't like GW because of the "slowness" and everything takes forever to grind to the degree like RO, GW2 seems just like graphic upgrade. I doubt they will make anything different since they are still following the diablo formular of making games.

i was over all impressed with this update/teaser trailer, however, textures arnt as good as they could be, see - ships some toons are jumping across and WAY too much bloom, bloom is old eye sore news - also the character animations could be improved. The landscapes over all had a vast improvement but some parts stil looked gw1 ish, see - the field bit with the char onthe bridge and the water/rocks around the knight guy, looked way too much like hilly areas in factions.
the char city, the first field shown, the first city shown, the underwater bit etc over all gj but need improvement still for 2 yrs of wait and need to see gameplay and progression. |

You can get to max level in Factions in 3 hours. All the missions are beatable within 20. Capturing skills is really easy once you get all the outposts and main towns. The only grind is there if you want to grind for titles and for prestige. Whereas in those other games if you didn't grind you'd basically be at a severe disadvantage. |

They added a new trailer on the website with somewhat of a detailed introduction of the five races. Plus more in-game footage.
Missed this part, they added profiles and in-game screenshots of the races in the website: http://www.guildwars2.com/en/world/races/ Female Charr! :-O the Asuras look funny looking Last edited by Sai Feng; 2009-12-05 at 03:32. |

i'm still wondering about the books. i love the lore of this game.
anywho, definitely making a Sylvari. spellcasters ftw. and speaking about capturing skills. i still remember when you had to use the signet WHILE the enemy was using the skill. those were the days. is it me, or do the graphics looks exactly the same except slightly higher res...
