It's Kyon and Haruhi. Those are their kids.

She probably did take his last name. Anything else would be an insult to his manliness. (Although, if Gendo Ikari can do it...)

I expect the artist made them twin girls in order to cause Kyon even more suffering. Notice how they call him "Kyon" rather than "Oto-san."

I can't read Japanese. Any translations you'd care to offer would be highly appreciated. Now, as to suffering ... Imagine what'd happen if those two little girls inherited both mommy's tsundere qualities and her powers? Sure, they'd be dormant at first, but whenever they face genuine frustration or sorrow ... Heh heh; Kyon's SOS days would never end!

I can't read Japanese either... I do recognize the characters for "Kyon", though (キョン).

I think that one has him whining about them not calling him "oto-san", but I'm not completely certain.

And yes, they probably would inherit Haruhi's personality and powers. Kyon's suffering will never end indeed.
