Which kind of fic? The kind of fic that reading it makes you feel all warm inside, or the kind of fic where Syn finds Vivio wearing shiny ribbons and little else?

I was going to as well. But more or less a short fic with Vivio catching Syn under the mistletoe.

Well, Sankt Kaiser can be translated several ways. The 'Saint King' translation is inaccurate, as the German word for King is Konig, not Kaiser, which of course translates as Emperor. I suspect mistletoe will be a common concept amongst holiday stories, regardless of characters in them.

I find myself in a weird position where I usually detest OCs, yet Day in the Life has several.

That being said, most OCs don't interest me, since they're either uber or boring. The crazy-awesome ones are always fun.

That's been my experience. OCs tend to work best in a supporting or comedy relief role, not as main cast.

I don't know what the deal with Syn is, now that you mention it. Its like she became some kind of adoptive cast member here.

She dates a porn star, 'nuff said :P

I dunno why Syn caught on. I think its 'cause Vivio didn't have any friends and Syn was kind of "required" to fill the role. Actually I hated Syn at first for some reason, not sure why...

But she's fun, energetic, and always a good time ^^

I don't know what OCs you've been reading, but that isn't my experience with those I've read in OCT mainly. They are usually more interesting than the CCs and more real.

Putting the same CCs, in the same situations, in the same settings, with basically the same dialouge, with the same plot, tends to get... oh em gee, repetitive.

Depends on the person. I see OCs as a plot device to enhance the CCs, where others see OCs as people to replace the CCs. Its the same as shipping, everyone has their preferences.

Well, you made people aware of Syn. Because, you cannot deny it, it is you.

On the other hand, Tempest HAD to link to the profiles of Noland and TSS' Kaon so people remember who they are. Even tho, TSS and Tempest wrote several crack and serious shorts about their characters.
