Fire Emblem Kakusei (or Fire Emblem Awakening maybe) news.
Over on andriasang.com, anoop has put up a small article about the next installment of the fire emblem series. Article itself is a summary of what is/was featured in the latest issue of Jump.
Big news, for me at least is, that you will be able to create an own main character, who will meet Krom as the story progresses, or something.

Just a reminder, Metal Gear Soild 3DS demo will be up this week, probably on thursday, in europe and probably NA.

Some new stuff was posted on anoop's blog. Apart from the background history of Krom and his Imoto, your Unit's background is solved by issuing him/her amnesia.

What is probably new for some of us, because the second NDS game was never localised, is the casual mode, which removes permanent deaths. If I understand the article correctly you can enable causal or classic mode regardless of difficulty, so you can play on lunatic without permanent deaths, aso.
To be fair, I reckon the permanent death was a major issue for a lot of casual gamers, especially in the west, who then shied away from the series.

First Visual Novel on 3DS, on eshop
The novel is published by Arc System Works and is called True Remembrance: Fragment of Memory adn will be sold for ¥500

Just had a go at the MGS3D demo. You probably want the circle pad pro for this game, it is still playable without, but is i easier to swing the camera wit the second slider. Personally I think it is really just for hardcore fans/collector or people who never played the ps2 game.

Interesting news from andriasang.com! Dreamcast classic Seaman is going to be revived on the 3DS. But the really interesting bit of news is that the Nikkei article also mentions that Seaman is apparently the first of such revivals and that Nintendo is looking to resurrect old franchises to bring strong titles to the portable. I can already hear the calls to bring back Shenmue.

Hopefully someone will publish a pal version, what happened with the second and third game wasn't funny but at least the NDS was region free.

Atlus really needs get a proper European/Pal partner. DS era was fine, since the DS was region free, but know I do get a feeling that pal regions will miss out on a lot of atlus titles.

I do think it's must buy for 3DS owners excepting left handed persons since it doesn't look easy to play.

Got it. Rather, imported it, since I have a JP 3DS.
Lots of fun, and the voice actors are great too (Hades as Houchuu...

).
Definitely a buy for owners of the 3DS.

Got it launch, haven't gotten past level 9 yet because I'm having so much fun replaying the previous levels. The music is so good!

Waiting for the OST. Chapter 6 theme is one of my favourites.
It's fascinating how we easily replay previous levels in order to do scoring, gain weapons for fusion or have fun. A really complete game.

As far as I understand you have to unlock the demo by playing the games on the Guild 01 cartridge.
As for Time Traveler itself, that is Level5's next adventure game for 3DS and sony vita.

A bit good news for euro people, ghostlight has announced they will publish both Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked and 2 in the pal region, a bit late but who cares.

So for people who missed the japanese Nintendo Direct today, here are some 3DS news.

New firmware adds new functions. The two biggest ones are the option to create folders and patching retail games. Mario Kart 7, New Love Plus and Kingdom Hearts 3D are the first few games to receive a patch.

Other news:
New Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3DS coming in August this year and Animal Crossing 3DS this autumn.

The patching function seems weird, the last I hear form new love plus is that the patch is a massive 600MB. I hope that doesn't mean that devs are going to be sloppy in the future. Imaging that you buy a retail 3DS gaming using a 4GB card and have to download a 4GB patch after a week or so.
