i hope mikoto will get more advancement...she kinda "stuck" after sister arc while the "other" like accelerator and touma keep advancing in term of personality and power, and the enemy is keep appearing more and more OP.

she need some kind of value change, personal reality shift, or additional value to keep up

Interesting, I like this idea. And like whitecloud said: I'd like some more character development for her.

I wonder what extra stuff they'll put in the anime. I don't think Liberal Arts city will cover everything, so I'm expecting something flashier. I guess we'll see soon enough if there's anything else in there (two or three months from now)

Frankily, I hope they do this just to give a proper closure for her. Mikoto at the very least needs to acknowledge her efforts.

She got closure: she set out to try and end the experiments even if it cost her life... and it did. Sort of.

I don't see why everybody wants to save Shinobu. It's so rare for this franchise to have a character killed off (not really but you know what I mean) like that that it's so unexpected and powerful. Bringing her back would just ruin that.

I know... I hope the original arc is more of a Mikoto / Gunha thing. Now that I would appreciate.

They could also make it Mikoto / Touma (I wouldn't mind that LOL).

At the very least they should introduce more important people to the plot like season 1 managed to do with Gensei and Terestina. (I appreciate that) They even mentioned body crystal's origins there. All of these things were very good.

If they do something like that this season with

Kihara Yuiitsu or Noukan that would legitimately be epic. That could also go well with next season of railgun though... because of Shokuhou's presence...

I think it's too early to see any of the more powerful evil influences in railgun. All of the railgun bosses have to be mini-bosses compared to Index... sad to say...

Even Touma had agitate halation where he beat up a way stronger Kihara than the "all-powerful" Terestina...

The one thing I don't want them to do is to introduce more characters that won't cross-over with the Index main series... I feel like the more interconnected the plots are, the better. Making new characters that aren't relevant to overall knowledge of the universe in general or of the specific side (i.e. the science side in this case), doesn't really add that much when you're thinking of it as Raildex and not as Railgun or Index.

But that's just my silly opinion.

Lastly, the ant scene was the most romantic scene of the arc. It was the start of her love for him (this is before the three stories arc afterall).

Ant scene? I don't remember this. Is it in Index, or is it novel only?

It was in the railgun manga actually.

I don't think it's actually called the ant scene, but you could call it that .

It's an extra special scene they added just for the railgun manga that was one of the best scenes in the whole arc even though it was kind of silly. (Let's say it ended well ).

It'll definitely be adapted in the anime. That was an amazing moment after all. Hint: Misaka/ Touma interaction after Touma got out of the hospital after the Accelerator fight. (Any more details would ruin the surprise.)

No, the overload makes her eyes look like that. That isn't how she normally looks. She looks like any other runaway esper when she uses body crystal. Normally, she appears to have normal eyes.

I think people just assumed she looked like that animated because we saw so little of her before she used the body crystal.

P.S. I am very excited for Mugino's face.

P.S. S. for those people saying Railgun S's animation comes from the Index movie funds, that is actually false. Index and Railgun are two separate animation projects.

Therefore, Index III is going to have all of the movie funds for its animation, a lot more funds than Railgun S has... Also, all of the Railgun S funds will go to Railgun D (season 3 whatever it's called) so we should expect an even better animated season because I'm sure Railgun S is going to sell very well.

I talked about how the drawing (or art style) of her face look different in various angles and scenes throughout ep.8-10. It looks inconsistent.

Honestly, those different pictures of her face really don't bother me at all quality wise... I really have nothing against them. She is a new character so they are having trouble deciding how she will look. After all, she hasn't really done that much in Railgun S to warrant her having a really facial expression... I think you are also kind of being a little nitpicky... lol. If I were to complain, it would be about Mikoto in the last 3 episodes... while her animation is great... her facial expressions are a little off... I dunno, but the animations have felt a little synthetic and not that real the last few episodes... Episode 5 was the real deal and episode 6... but episode 8-10 feel like J.C. staff trying to show cool scenes and perfectly adapting the manga without adding something extra..............................

That probably made no sense. I don't know... I just felt like they could have done more with this actually. I really like what they did though: it's just that (if I use a music metaphor) they animated this the way a musician would play a piece beautifully but without soul and therefore never of the highest quality but of the second highest quality... if you get what I'm saying....

Maybe it's just that episodes 8-10 really weren't that emotional... compared to the other ones except for a few excellent parts. Episode 10 was substantially better in this regard and after I see it with subs I might say it's better than 5/6. The fight was absolutely amazing... but I feel like J.C. is rushing the adaptation and using flashbacks to extend time rather than adding small things of actual value that could be used to enrich what we're seeing (even though the flashbacks work great sometimes. They've just done it like fifty times though...). It's perfect for first time watchers, but for manga readers it's kind of just a repeat... that's why I like it when they add those little extra things: Mikoto stumbling in episode 9, the tube chase in episode 10, all of episode 10 actually.

Maybe episodes 5/6 just had a huge shock factor because they had Accelerator and because of the sudden transition? (and because we didn't know at the time whether or not J.C. staff was going to animate the violence in order to stay true to the manga and bring out the full emotional pain).
