Yeah seriously that was confusing, neva knew the world (or maybe the moon moved)
could suddenly spin so fast and exactly pinpoint archer's position.. =P

since he turned everything dark and the loli girl couldnt sense him he was prob buying time while he was chanting his thing to create that UBW
idk but who cares it looked cool.
maybe it was needed for his UBW to work..

The Einzberg wanted the strongest Servant to win the war, so it's not surprisingly they summoned a Demi God. It's logical that if you want to win a war, you'll naturally go for the best in weapons.

Besides deing a Demi God, Heracles is also a master of all weaponaries, so he's suited to be any class of Servants with the exception of being a Caster. The Einzberg figured that to bring out all of Heracles' talents, they made him a Berserker, sacrificing other things that he is well known for.

lol poor rin wanted something strong too. but ended up getting archer
who was strong also..(can prob own all the other servants besides saber maybe)
too bad he wasnt "best of the best" as he put it since heracles killed him in the end
although archer did kill him 5 times

Well, the Einzbergs did target at making Heracles their Servant in this Grail War. They cheated by digging out one of the weapons Heracles had possessed in his life and used it in their summoning ritual.

Bleh indirect clues to Archer identity. Bah, I say! I still don't know exactly who Archer is even after rewatching the entire episode. I can only guess with the clues everyone has been mentioning.

1. Archer keeps telling Shirou to practicing imagining things.
2. Illya says Archer can imagine Noble Phantasms.
3. Archer keeps having memory flashbacks of Shirou and Rin.
4. The necklace that was left behind when Archer died.
5. Archer knows Illya.

My guess is Archer is the future self of Shirou when he dies and becomes a heroic soul but that can't be possible.

So the 5 times you guys mention about Archer killing Berserker was all in UBW? What about outside? He delivered 3 strikes that I would call 'finishing blows' to anyone. So he died 8 times?

damn what about the SUPERVISORS!!!
shes breaking the rules..she shouldnt be able to participate in the game..
the supervisors should do something about it.
i dont think cheating is allowed or elese everyone else would do it.

in that case..then ARCHER may truely be the strongest of the strongest

Well...apparently those other "finishing attacks" outside UBW didnt count as kills, considering Berserker's defensive capabilities...

Hence, it remains that Berserker only got killed 5 times by Archer, through UBW alone.

Funny thing. Archer class and only 1 arrow fired! The rest were melee attacks!

Well, I'm just going add my last response on the subject so I must as well do it here.

Now that don't make no sense now. Dieing in the future and becoming a servant of the past...unbelievable. That would mean he will never succeded in stopping the Holy Grail War doesn't it? I assumed all these servants were heroes of the past not future. Now that I think about it, Shirou was always going on and on about how he wanted to become a hero and save everyone so it makes some sense.

Anyways that enough rambling from me.

Actually, he did another "ranged" attack, but not with bow and arrows. Remember the scene at the roof? Where Berserker got stuck in that hole? Archer threw his 2 swords (followed by imaging another pair of it and throwing them as well) which resulted in a 4-blade attack, and thats considered a ranged attack.

Yes, pretty much. I dont remember him saying that he wants to stop the Holy Grail War's endless cycle, but the current war, yes. He can prevent other people (*evil masters*, so to speak) from attaining the Holy Grail if he was the winner of the particular war.

However:

Once he became a servant, he basically is bond under his Master's orders and ideals, hence defeating the purpose of fighting for his own ideals, since that is not possible to achieve as a servant, unless the master shares the same mindset as you.

Wow, that just...sucks totally. I smell more tragedy on the horizon because becoming a servant is worse than death.

I don't think the five deaths of Berserker were done in UBW alone.

IMO, there was one with the arrow, one with the four-blades attack, one with the 2 blades looking like angel wings.

And then, Archer mentioned something about putting 2 more blades in Berserker's chest (just before activating UBW and then, he may have done it in UBW) which would amount to 5.

I'm maybe wrong but that's the most logical thing I figured out.

I think I should said it in another way. Most of his attacks were the usage of swords. In the whole series those twin swords was his main weapon. I mean... you look at the word archer and you think "Ah! Bow and arrow".
