This episode has pretty strong hints that Pitohui's player is that idol Karen likes. Kind of makes me wonder who M's player is and how he knows her IRL...

There are a number of hints, but Karen writing the fan letter definitely serves as a big dramatic hint that that's probably the case, for those who recognize such things.

I'm glad they did eps 1-3 in such a way that you could watch them in order 2-3-1 and it would feel natural. Anyway, back to the Squad Jam battles next week

Never read the original and its adaptations before, but as soon as Pito goes on about the novelist gun nut I somehow knew that it was a blatant Sigsawa ref, and boy do they go far with that to the end

I see so it was Pito who got LLENN & M as a team.

You can tell how much of a combat expert M is just by watching him train M, all those drills and exercises were very useful.

I actually like taller girls, I'm not tall myself, only 175-177 but for some reason I just like them being tall.

That was a really nice fan letter she wrote to Elsa Kanazaki.

Looking forward to the next episode.

As for height even as a guy, bring too tall is very standout in society where average male is around 165-170 ( A girl with 180+ obviously even more standout )
girl I know don't like bring call shorty and bring too tall isn't her preference either

Jokes aside, holy shit M was intense before but the calm demeanor he carried even when teaching LLENN how to use the knife was pretty scary. Even in VR stabbing another player in the eye or throat seems pretty hardcore.

Some people take these things seriously and don't hold back. Just in the first episode, there was someone willing to use another player's body as a shield. M is clearly a person that doesn't mess around when it comes to their gaming experience.

I wanna think that Pitohui is Elsa as well. It would just make a very nice coincidence that she would've have been able to participate on Squad Jam's first day due to her concert taking place at the same time as that. And their voice actors being the same is pretty convenient.
