^ would that be because there's no air, thus it cannot burn?

In space no one can hear you sing bad J-Pop music.

Seriously, I really should look up the why of that. If it was just accelerating particles like an ordinary gun or mass driver, there should be little problem, but this definitely has to do with the charge, somehow.

Some parts of this section in IS Wiki were actually explained by Tabane herself (vol 3 pg. 187).

The interesting part is that the whole Akatsubaki's body is the same as Yukihira Type-2 (vol 3 pg 188). To illustrate this, assume Yukihira Type-2 as psycho-frame. Byaku Shiki is CCA generation MS (only the cockpit is made of psycho-frame), while Akatsubaki is Gundam Unicorn, where the entire frame is build from psycho-frame

The intriguing part: Tabane said Akatsubaki is still incomplete (pg 189). Does this mean Akatsubaki is supposed to be evolving, and it's up to Houki to upgrade it? Or Tabane is actually building her own Akatsubaki (Banshee) using her own little sister's data obtained by sending the Golems? Hope the author didn't forget this part in vol 3 which was published in 2009

The big T was actually Tabane, not Tomino . Yeah I was rewatching CCA

Another idea: Akatsubaki and Byakushiki aren't just compatible, but intended to function as one machine? We've had previosu discussions on how Akatsubaki seems tailor-made to support Byakushiki--what if Tabane's intention is to actually--I dunno, fuse the two together? a two-pilot IS?

Ideas

I just found something and it's too late.

Image Interface-controlled weapon, found in all 3rd Gen except ByakuShiki (sort of Fold-Out Armor testbed unit, hence quasi-4th-gen) is self explanatory. Those targeting circle in the HUD.

> Blue Tears: Remote-controlled Bits, requires great concentration
> AIC: Defensive field, requires great concentration. Also, those cable-dagger combo, but that's my guess only.
> Dragon Cannon: Compressed air/ shockwave cannon, considering it's bad accuracy when fired on the move, ditto with the above.

So...
> is Mysteltein (sp?), water controlling spear, works the same way? Haven't read that far.
> I assume Silver Gospel's swiss-army wings also Image-Interface controlled.
> Dunno if this fits the thread or better suited with fanfic discussion, but what sort of Image Interface-controlled weapon you'll gave to Char? Bits/Funnel is out of equation thanks to Cecilia.

I don't think that would make much sense unless she upgrades her Zaku II into a Sazabi.

Then funnels would definitely be valid.

AFAIK the PIC and other barrier/shieldign systems on an IS prevent one from being hit by physical or radiation damage, but I don't think they do anything for gas, bacterial agents, or just plain old vacuum. Obviously they do a bit for high-altitude (See Silverio Gospel battle), but I think that an IS pilot surrounded by tear gas would still be affected by the gas somewhat.

To say nothing of what would happen if you threw a flashbang at an IS pilot--the enhanced vision is going to make the flash hurt.

The whole 'meant for space' thing is the
most annoying factor when trying to figure out
wha can and can't hurt an IS.

Well, the first prototype IS shows the test pilot wearign a spacesuit, so I'd assume the IS itself is the exoskeleton used over that.

^ Except that image never appeared in the novel,
the IS was described to emit a field that allows the
pilot to operate in space, this is mentioned as far back
as the 1st volume.

Well, a post after two years of nothing...
Anyway, how many percent of Gundam technology that existed in IS? I.S Core is kind of like GN Driver (but does that mean we would see a Twin Core or Overdriver mode?) I.S definitely is inspired by Gundam. I can guarentee that!

in kamen rider ooo the tv series, there are purple core medals that are made from extinct animals, which were the antithesis of desire, which can be able to shatter other core medals, is there a way to shatter the IS cores?

That derailed quickly.

And I don't see how Box and Wave's statements are incompatible. A forcefield and a bulky suit essentially function in the same way.

- That was back when I was writing chapter 2 of my <Ren> fic. One of the original ideas was for <Ren> to use tear gas on Autumn (in Chap 1 the mercenaries planned to use WP grenades to suffocate IS pilots). But since the field keeps atmosphere in and prevents gases from leaking out, I scrubbed the idea.

...and then of course the anime confirms that Autumn was wearing a helmet so it didn't matter in the end anyway.

here my idea how guys can be able to pilot an IS unit, a serum inject into their bodies allow guys can pilot an IS unit for 24hrs we can make more of it, but its temporary, plus the effects that it will be it burns up all your cholesterol & calories, & only male bodies can handle the serum
