I thought that too. Now the number is 869, so it is not going only forward. It seens to be random. Like the number of visitors.

is an example of Mojibake. It is encoded in EUC-JP while the page is encoded in SHIFT_JIS. By setting the encoding to EUC-JP, the line becomes
Quote:
あなたの夏休みは (random number) 回目・・・
which translates to "Your (random number)th summer vacation ..."

The format and content of the list depends on the random number.

For more information check this japanese blog that tracks the changes of the homepage haruhi.tv:

There are also links to the summer events of the years 2006-2008 at the bottom of the page.

That is something I noticed in each episode of Endless 8 her list was arranged differently, sometimes it would be in one column, two columns, on half sheet of paper, a full sheet, etc.

This has to be Haruhi's doing. Goddamn loops that can never be completed. All I wanted to do was play Mousehunt on Facebook, oh goddess!

This is the first time I've ever seen that message, by the way. Also, it's another example of how Endless Eight has scarred me.

That error message would have been so much better if the redirecting "in a way that will never complete" message were repeated a few more times.

Maybe it'll work if you don't use that crappy browser you're apparently using....

hence the unofficial names
i like how some books have chapter names such as harry potter
instead of just part 1,2 etc...

I do admit, it is an interesting idea. I'm just not sure if it is necessary...

I have a serious prejudice to people who don't use capital letters. But, yeah, now I understood your post I think it is an interesting idea. The name are good. Exept the 'festival'. 'School Festival' would be better.

Oh. Well, that wasn't the point. 'festival' can be many things, including the summer festival in the E8. School Festival would be more specific.

Now that I think about it, if we do use said names, then they would have to be more specific. If we do name an episode School Festival, then IMO, Live A Live (or however it should be spelled in canon) should be the episode renamed.

True. But, we can't change the original names. Also, is not like this is really important. ^^;

Yeah, true. This isn't the Genderbending thread where the off-topic is the rule or whatever that quote was... But again, the idea of having more specific names is interesting but not necessary.
