The Total Eclipse VN sprite animations look horrid, comparable to South Park cut outs. When they depict two TSF slashing at each other, you only see slash effects with not visible sword. The PC VN have much better TSF combat animation.
They also integrate some videos from the anime, at least for the first half. The VN version had both Stella and VG in a Strike Eagles when Yui was toying with them, but they still briefly used an anime footage with VG in The Active. |

Hey there might not be any bonus OVA as one of the shops listed the former live nicovideo broadcast 光線級と行く!帝都巡礼 as the bonus footage for Vol.9. I am not sure whether there will be more for the bonus as the official site did not list anything as a bonus, unless they're too ashamed to admit they are not including new content.
Who knows, the official site might change with the full details after the release date. Edit: Disappointment confirmed: 50 minutes - episode 24 + the 30 minute broadcast of a tour of Kyoto with a Laser Class suit guy. Others complained that the series was planned for 26 episodes but slotted in two commentary episodes for the tv broadcast. Last edited by calubin_175; 2013-05-24 at 18:05. |

Damn. Yeah TE the series is going to get lots of complaints, from the Fans most of all. Age or Kouki really screwed this up.

Lots of typos in TE LN 6, they mistyped Idar 1 as Bao Feng 1. Meanwhile, Kouki has been credited for writing TSFiA 74 Kukri kenife Attack, which should feature the newly released Kotobukiya Terminator. There is also a build sample of the Su-37M2. |

Thinking about the Phase 3, I realized there may have been something that hinted towards it being a derivative of the YF-23 in TE. This image came from Altered Fable, I believe and may have been what Kouki intended all along.
Spoiler for From Extraverse:
It makes sense now, those escorts are "Phase 3s", they looked different from F-22s and some said that they had YF-23 characteristics. |

Those are definitely YF-23s, and the white thing they're escorting looks to be an XB-70 Valkyrie bomber that's presumably been refitted as a VIP transport.
Foreshadowing much?

That, and the possibility that the Valkyrie might have a lot more stowage space.

- The Brave Patriarch, Mitsurugi Raiden.
If you're knowledgable about Super Robots, just look at him. Any questions about what the Mitsurugis own/buy/create will be silenced. Not answered, but you won't be wondering about it too hard any longer.

Just finished playing the TE VN, though I skipped many bits. The last battle around Evensk Hive was portrayed as a dramatic poignant war story, at least to the same level as the final arc of Alternative. I have to especially commend on the voice acting of the face-less bridge operators.
The best part of the entire game was when they reported the status of humanity's trump card on orbit. The Total Eclipse does get revealed. For those concerned about the character relationships more than the story, I am kind of disappointed that Yui got side lined. I think they might make a short story of her in Operation Ouka. Sprite animation looks pretty decent due to the smooth frame rate, please don't judge from video recordings. However, there were many many sprite mistakes though: The complete lack of UN F-16s, all the ones terrorists used are American colored and wielding the WS-16C instead of the AMWS-21. Even after the terrorist arc, the Shiranui Second is still occasionally seen using the WS-16C. Idar 2-4 had Su-27s when they were attacked by MiG-29s. All other scenes had them consistently using Su-37s. The XFJ-01B decal does not exist. No TSF sprites of non-Total Eclipse debuted TSFs, such as the Phantoms and F-14Ex of the other test flights. Graf Flight did have the Fulcrum since it was an originally TSF introduced in TE. The credits are quite short reflecting the their small development team. Miyata Sou was absent on the list. I really do like his artwork and I've recently just received my copy of one of his Age Store exclusive artbooks. Sharon's cockpit scene was definitely not drawn by him. In conclusion, Muv-Luv is still great, and it is worth spending money on. |
