watched it yesterday..... the story and plot wasn't all good.... some crazy fantasy that makes the protagonist go to the past and learns kung-fu...
at least the fight scenes were worth to watch... at least it was better than nothing at all.... anyway..... the 2 girls here are very pretty women... they are like RAWR! ya 'know

Yeah, the story wasn't anything great, but the fight scenes really carried the movie for me. That and the humor; I mean, it's an odd duo buddy movie starring Jackie Chan! OK, maybe not exactly that, but it's close enough...
I thought the whole token romance thing was really cheesey and lame, but Jet Li and Jackie Chan were awesome enough to make up for it. It's something I'd be willing to see again, if only for the fight scenes. Oh, and having been raised on stories of the Monkey King as a child, you can imagine how giddy I was to see it play an important role in the story. Sure, it was about as faithful to the original legend as a Disney adaptation, but it was still really cool to see none-the-less. For me, it was like a nostalgia trip to my childhood, with Jet Li and Jackie Chan thrown in for kicks. How could I not like that? The fanboy in me was satisfied, at any rate. |

I didn't understand 3/4 of the dialogs said by the actors. Stupid opening/ending with the moronic kid. I was disappointed, though the fight/jokes was entertaining enough. Only characters I liked was the long hair bounty hunter (Rider). lol@Gate of Babylon.

Above adverage movies. Fight scenes are very old-school because it actually shows them fighting with the camera paned out. Having Sun WuKong in the movie was awesome. A little corney but was expected. |

The corniest thing you've EVER seen? Geez, I watch too many Bollywood movies then...*aug*.....I think it looks sooo cool, Jet Li and Jackie Chan....*huuuwaaaaah, does kung-fu like action move*, haven't watched it though, but from people's comments on it it seems really .....retarded?

Watched it last Saturday when it opened since I'm a big fan of the martial arts movies ^_^ Jackie Chan is also a favorite!
Anyways, the movie wasn't exactly what I expected, but it made me laugh and that's what I treasure most usually. I was a bit thrown off by the white boy, but he didn't do too bad a job, and that scene with Jet Li and Jackie Chan smacking him around was hilarious. And even though I'm a girl, man, Sparrow was CUTE. I wanted to hug her

Jason also contributes heavily toward the film's light-hearted atmosphere. As I mentioned before, this one had a lot more humor than any other kung fu flick I've seen (with the exception of kung fu comedies like Kung-Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer). If you want a dark fighting film, this isn't it. If you want some good fight scenes and some humor, this is perfect. If you've been wanting to break someone into the kung fu genre this is probably the best one to do it with. As an aside, I will also agree that I was a bit weirded out to see Jet Li with those huge smiles on his face.

Sparrow = Cute It was a fun film, shouldn't have to think about it. But yeah love to see the chinese version, just have the white boy speak English up to the bit where Jacky tells him "you are not listening", then switch it over to Chinese. Oh, and props to "Respect your Teachers!" more kids need to have that drummed into them these days.
