Why yes... that is my time zone.

I was under the impression that majority of the people here are westerners. Should I fix that?

It's 4:47am, Time to get up and get ready to go to work. Today will be the first time I'll be riding my bike since the accident. My chest still hurts a bit where I think I bruised a rib, but I don't think that will be a factor.

Ah, there goes my second alarm.

I'm under the opposite impression, I figure we Asians are the majority here.

Since you know, most of the members I know are Asian.

Random comment: When I lived in Vancouver, BC .. I spent ~13 hours flying to Paris. When I moved to Toronto, I spent ~13 hours flying to Japan ..

Outlook not so good

I am GMT-5 as well, I don't actually think I have meet someone from around here (New England) yet, everyone seems to either be from Western America or Asia from my experience.

That's my impression as well; we seems to have quite a few people from Singapore and Southeast/ Eastern Asia (based on posts here and there), and a bunch from the West Coast of the US... I'm one of those rare kinds of people who is from the East Coast of the US (and I would much rather be on the West Coast- then again, after I get my Bachelor's, the general idea is to see if I can't move to that side of the country.)

http://www.quantcast.com/animesuki.com#!countries

It's a general overview of all people that check the site, but it can give you an idea from where we get the most visitors and likely members that end up joining the forum.

I don't understand the numbers for my country via that link.

http://www.quantcast.com/animesuki.c...btab=countries

Can you explain it to me?

It says something ''Uniques (Cookies) 802''. Does that mean there are 802 members from my country on this site. Or does it mean something else (the same goes for other numbers).

Thanks!

Americans DO like Japanese entertainment; and vice versa. Anime just so happens to be the largest "exported" of Japanese media.

The only American entertainment other than games that I see that people like are their documentaries - namely Discovery Channel. I can sit there and watch it the whole day.

even though U.S. have the highest visitors here, it's still nice to see a lot of varieties of
people from all over the world here. i must say, it's the ANIME that brought us all together....maybe.

you surely woke up early. i probably have the same time zone as yours (pacific time).
i usually wake up @ 7:00am and prepare to go to work at 7:50am. i used to woke
up even more earlier when i was in the military: 5:00am, but that was still not as
early as yours.

i usually go to bed around 11:00pm-12:00am over here. probably enough sleeping
time so that i dont fall asleep during work.

Actually, I have my first alarm set for 4:15 am. This allows me to hit the snooze button a few times before actually getting out of bed.

Of course this means I'm in bed by 9-10pm.

Uniques means that 802 people from your country have checked the site in the last 30 days. I believe this does not tell apart between members and guests, though.

Yeah, I think that's awesome.. There's a part of me that thinks on anime and manga and any and all light novels that we as a community consume .. and all the different cultural backgrounds we each have and all the different languages we speak and I can only think: "Art transcends cultural and geographic boundaries and brings us all together"

Outlook is positive

PS: I am probably not nearly as positive and optimistic this often in person as I sound here ..
