New chapter confirms the scenes we've been seeing these past few chapters were made up. Not just that, but it was Abiko and Yoriko who made them by heavily editing Aqua's original script and particularly insisting on the upcoming LONG and STRONG kiss scene.

Next chapter will be critical. Ruby is coming really strong onto Aqua, even suggesting they practice kissing and he thinks of her as Sarina. How will he react?

Oh, another break next week of course. Someone just cancel Renai Daikon already...

If you're talking about how Kana and Miyako feel about it, well, I think it's rather natural for normies to be disgusted by incest, even if it's just for art. Siblings are still going to end up kissing for real, acting or not. In the entire history of cinema, this probably happened only a handful of times.

A kiss between blood-related siblings doesn't happen often even among non-mainstream works nowadays, much less in a popular series like OnK. Casual readers who aren't that deep into otaku culture won't take that well. It is less about Ruby winning and more about Aka having the guts (and the publishers allowing it) to harm the sales of his own work by doing that.

I've always been a Kanabro, but Ruby having such a deep history with Aqua and her love being so pure really makes me root for her. In fact, I don't see how Kana can even compete. Let's not even talk about Akane, she's been out of the running for a long time.

They are playing it off from the "reincarnation" angle so they are dancing around the issue a little.

Honestly the "hurt sales" thing you mention isn't that big of a deal because Japan don't care above shoving morals in a fiction story and frankly they don't give a shit what west think about the series because 90% of manga sales are still from Japan.

I am pretty sure Akan and Mengo went into depths with their editors before and of this was written

Looking past the incest kiss, this was a sweet chapter. Ruby being able to get past Aqua's wall and connect with him shows just how pure her love for him. She even got him to start thinking about life beyond revenge and even gave him some advice on how to live past it.

Boy that was a fast turn around for Ruby. She went from murdering the guy with words to giving her approval the moment he offered insight. Also, we get a lore dump about religion and followers and Ruby just pulls an Aqua and gaslights a god. The twins have no chill.
