The spoilers for the next chapter are out and it doesn't look good at all. Deku once again reaffirms that he is not going to give up on saving Shigaraki and it ends with the implication that he will have to sacrifice OFA in order to stop him...

Deku, who's using Black Whip to control his muscles, stops Shigaraki's destruction with a powerful Delaware Smash! What's more, he uses his past experience battling Lady Nagant to distract his opponent's Danger Sense, and hacks off the villain's arm!

However, using the Search quirk, Shigaraki pinpoints Deku's current weakness: He now has trouble breathing, due to Gear Shift's backlash kicking in! As they continue fighting, the villain once again ridicules the young hero, telling him he's trying to save someone who no longer exists. Nana is reminded of her earlier conversation with Deku, when she told him some people are beyond help, and that he should kill him. Deku still refuses, saying that if Shigaraki truly did change as much as he claimed, he still wouldn't have memories of his past life.That's why he's so intent on sticking to his guns!

Kudou (2nd) says he originally didn't accept Deku, so he looked into the boy's memories. That's when he discovered that he was always like this, never giving up on people who, by all rights, he should have hated, like Bakugou. Suddenly, an arm (which seems to belong to Star and Stripe) appears among the vestiges, pointing toward something. Kudou then makes a sudden realization: He tells Deku that he must let go of One For All.....!!!!!

So.... my take on it is that Shigaraki has to be beaten from within, after all? I mean, last I recall, Star was inside of his body, not Deku's....

... I feel like I'm watching Avatar, the chosen one fighting with their previous lives aguing in favour of not killing a genocidal prick.
I guess at least in Aang's case it was cultural and it wasnt about 'saving' but more about a moral adversion to killing, unlike Deku's objection, which is way dumber.

The chapter starts with All Might receiving a vision of Star and Stripe's vestige, pointing him towards a "sad child" hidden behind a crack within Shigaraki's mind. He's confused by what he just saw. Back to Deku, Kudou explains to him that within Shigaraki is a lump of "lead", which represents his past memories and resentment... which has hardened over time. However, a crack within it has appeared. If Deku were to transfer One For All to Shigaraki, it would become possible to penetrate that crack, breaking it open! En (6th) is naturally against this plan, since they would risk making Shigaraki more powerful, but Kudou wants Deku to approach this with a different mindset. Similar to how he first used the image of the "egg in a microwave" when he first trained with OFA, he ought to think outside the box, like remembering how Bakugou used to bully him.

With that being said, Kudou wants to be the one to get taken next. While the idea of Shigaraki with Gearshift is frightening, he should experience the same level of backlash as Deku if he were to use it, since that aspect of the quirk shouldn't be reset by the transfer. The other vestiges are still wary of this idea, most of all Deku.... not because he's afraid of losing, but because he'll be giving up the greatest treasure he received from the hero he admires. However, as Kudou asks him if he's prepared, he answers that he'll do it! Suddenly, he strikes at Shigaraki, ripping off his arm again! The villain notes how the boy doesn't resemble a hero now, as his whole body is covered by the Black Whip....!!!!

I guess at this point I should be satisfied if at least there won't be a scene where a hero tries to kill Shiragaki and Deku protects him because he has to be sabed instead.

Deku manages to successfully implant Kudo's consciousness and Quirk into Shigaraki, transferring Gearshift's recoil to his foe and allowing the 2nd's ghost to begin 'attacking' Shigaraki from within. The process also makes the two fighters' memories blur together momentarily. The 6th's ghost announces that the plan is working, and Deku readies another Quirk factor for transfer.

Bad writing, so we return to Deku beign quirkless at the end once again...after all that pain he went through and training to master OFA. All the time he took to learn control of other quirks, cut ties with his friends to stay away if AFO attacks...all that flushed down the toilet.

So what Deku loses all quirks and Shigi gets all...only for him to become a Disney princess of good and kindness after all the murder and destruction he did.

Now Deku looks grat and mastered those quirks further than their orginal users....all to be lost in the end...all manga seems pointless after all that.

Almost didn't notice a chapter came out this week, heh. Anyway, it's sad that Deku is forced to sacrifice his quirks, but I do like that he's still making the most out of his previous experiences with them in this situation. So how many more chapters until the inevitable Shigaraki therapy session....?

Remember how the ending of movie 2 was supposed to be how the manga would end? The situation is similar: Deku was forced to give OFA to Bakugo and it came back to him. Here he's giving it to Shigaraki, and I think the end result will be the same. Either it'll come back on its own like in the movie or Shigaraki will give it back to him after making a complete 180.

Its gonna be like the ending of Pain's arc in Naruto all over again but somehow even worse

Deku tries to transfer more 'ghosts' into Shigaraki, but Shiggy manages to "reject" most of them, so only En gets through. The duo's memories get stirred together a little again. Something something UA Island hits the ground(?), something something Hatsume and La Brava helping out and getting the fight streaming around the world again(?), and the chapter ends with Eri apparently heading somewhere while looking quite distraught / determined / I hate trying to make sense of everything in this manga because for some reason something about the art style makes it really hard to me to follow along and tell what the hell is going on at some points like seriously if it weren't for marvelB's usual summaries and the eventual entries on the Trope pages I'd barely know half of what was going on in this story WHAT THE HELL IS IT ABOUT THE ART THAT'S SO HARD FOR ME TO TELL WHAT'S HAPPENING?

As Deku launches towards Shigaraki, we cut back to Eri. She wants to be at Deku's side to help him, but Ectoplasm stops her, saying that he's too far away. Plus, the underground transport system was destroyed by the villains, so there's no way for her to reach him quickly. Plus, even if she did make it to his side, she wouldn't be much use.... since she doesn't have enough energy in her horn to heal him. In fact, she wasn't able to heal Aizawa's injuries, which is proof enough that she can't do much right now.All they can do is believe in Deku's strength....

This reminds her of a moment she shared with Kouta, who confessed to her that he's also a crybaby like Deku. However, knowing that his hero shares that same trait gives him inspiration. We then cut to various other people reacting to the battle, such as Denki and Momo. Denki brings up the topic of the popular shounen manga trope of supporting characters stating their belief in the hero. However, he's worried that his faith in Deku may not be strong enough. At Gunga, we see Ochako's group getting aid from the news crew. We then cut to Lady Nagant and Rock Lock, the latter of whom asking why she's helping Deku. Nagant answers that the boy opened her heart, and that he's the type that villains hate most: One who never chooses the easy path. And now, the whole world is watching him walk down that most difficult path....!!!!

Deku manages to burst through the fingers shielding Shigaraki, and makes the quirk transfer! Curiously, all of the other vestiges successfully make it through.... except for Nana. As it turns out, she and Deku are now within Shigaraki's (or perhaps more accurately, Tenko's) memories of his childhood home made manifest, which seems to have blocked their final destination....

As Deku tries to make it to the Shimura house, he gets stopped by memories of Stain, Re-Destro, and Overhaul! He manages to get past them, but as soon as he reaches the door, what greets him is the photo of Nana with her son Kotarou that we previously saw in the villain's flashback.... followed by the scene of him getting hit by his father. As Nana watches the scene unfold, she becomes emotional, blaming herself for how resentful her son became. As Kotarou raises his hand to harm Tenko again, both Deku and Nana manage to break their way through the invisible barrier holding them back! Nana hugs her son, and begins to fade away.... having finally managed to fully transfer to Shigaraki. As for Deku, he's taken to another critical moment of Tenko's memories: When the boy's Decay quirk activates just as he hugs his dog.....
