So I just watched the OAV, and it wasn't shockingly bad... They actually stayed true to the manga (compared to the epic failure the S1 anime was anyway) and even managed to up the fan service a level. The few parts they added were not that bad either. Well done I say!

That wasn't a train wreck - in fact, some moments were rather funny. To Love Ru ain't exactly Shakespeare, so I think it's important to go into something like this with realistic expectations. The character designs were subtly quite different than the TV, especially Rito (and I mean before he changed) and the service certainly kicked up a few notches. For what it is, it was fine. But oh, how I long for another quiet, sweet Haruna/Rito ep with no Lala in sight - one was not nearly enough.

Spoiler for nsfw:
3 letter/words OMG! O.O anyway, I can't seem to find the chapter for this OVA >.< maybe it's not in the manga EDIT: Oh wait, I saw it, it's chapter 104 but there's so many things the OVA changed though so I didn't noticed much.

Yeah -- of interest, perhaps, is that the original manga author also wrote the script for this OVA episode. So, I guess we could say it's an "author's anime original" episode. The DVD just arrived in the mail today, so I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but it sounds like a good episode.

The 2 OVAs have done something I didn't expect they would. Dare I say it, I miss To Love-Ru.
This second OVA was a nice episode. The battle, I felt, was somewhat out of place in this episode. But To Love-Ru isn't To Love-Ru without a little fanservice and I can't really complain. So, all in all, a sweet, charming Mikan episode.
