I've read the manga-equivalent (see above on why I haven't touched the web-novel), and while I like a lot of the setting and the fact that he's using the resources and knowledge he has while working himself back to his prime, I can't say that I can fall in love with it. The biggest issue is that the villains are shallow as a puddle and, to put the protagonist up, the author has to put other characters down. None of the family that he's going out of his way to antagonize are what I'd consider intelligent, but they don't really present any sort of challenge to the protagonist. It feels like I'm reading a Naruto Peggy Sue fic with the lead protagonist being a time-traveling Naruto, blue-hair guy is a Sasuke that remains an arrogant prick without the intelligence or desire to even put in the effort to improve himself and at least try to surpass the guy who made him piss himself, and the teacher is worse since I expect better behavior from an adult. The fact that she was willing to wager her job on getting a kid half her age kicked out of school is just immature. The other thing is when he states something that seems to be common sense but no one else seems to grasp it sooner. Like when the group getting ready to explore the ancient city assume that they'll find treasure in the commoner's section when they come from a city where there are nobles already present. Common sense dictates that they'd be better off checking the nobility section, but he has to suggest it first before they go 'Oh yeah'. It would have been better for them to suggest that first, then it be pointed out that those areas didn't have anything, and he comes up with the theory about the training ground. I'm also against the how quickly women seem to be falling for him, but I'm biased against Harems so I can't really knock that off as a flaw. Other than those, it's pretty decent.

Everyone reading manhua says same thing about Naruto similarity. I don't understand it's artstyle either, when i reading novel it absolutely didn't give any similarity at all. But in manhua MC is just like Naruto
Also regarding Blue Haired Sasuke, he is just a kid and not even can be considered as small villain. Real enemies will show up later. Girls too, their love didn't seem unnatural to me from novel but i didn't read manhua... Yet i won't say 'You should try novel itself'. But imho novel was better than what you said. |

Think on the Library scene where he goes to have them determine their soul sea forms and attributes using the crystals. Now, replace that with Chakra, Elements, and chakra paper from one of your traditional Naruto Peggy Sue fics. Again, this sort of thing is common even in other Peggy Sues (Harry Potter, Bleach, etc.), so I can't really say anything bad on it. That's an inherent part of these things, even if its not a fanfic but a original story. Typically speaking, it's the execution in general that's the problem. I like the concepts, as mentioned before. It's just that the antagonist (even if not a small villain) are poorly done right now. They're basically all just snooty rich people who bought their way into their slots in life and feel entitled, but none of them are even that much of a threat or interesting. The author keeps throwing in how much better the protagonist is without an ounce of subtly in it, with the other characters going with it so swiftly. He's a master alchemist, knows techniques and inscriptions far more advanced that anyone in Glory City is capable of doing, and everything's going his way too easily. Where's the real challenge? That bet he made with the teacher? He beat that with more than a month to spare with no one even trying to sabotage it. The douche-bag trying to beat him up in the library? He wet himself with fear. The mobbing in the streets? We all know that he would have kicked them up and down the streets if he didn't want to undermine them, and he was wearing armor beneath his clothes. Getting his love-interest from the past to fall in love with him again, which should be the biggest challenge of all? I give it ten chapters from the blue gorilla. It might be because the manga-equivalent is going too slow and we're still in the beginning for all I know, but a hero is only as good as the challenges he faces and the efforts that go into them. A combination of breathing exercises, elixirs, and marital arts to reach an arbitrary number level does not present much of a challenge. So far the blue gorilla has interested me more since that involved him cleverly leading said murderous monster to a horde of Dark Guild members that he had no clue were coming, both things he never dealt with and had no plan to deal with (aside from the poisoned arrows he didn't see fit to share with the other hunting party members, but okay). The biggest one overpowers him, so he can't hit it until it dies, and when he sees a bunch of guys who would be a pain in the butt to deal with, he lets his enemies thin themselves out first, while using an escape scroll to get clear. No one is embarrassing themselves and he's not being praised by a third-party, which throws it in our face, we see him being a guile and wily protagonist and make that judgement for ourselves as he adapts to an unforeseen circumstance that he couldn't have predicted. I'd consider reading the source material, as that tends to beat the adaption (and, to be honest, the earlier chapters of the manhua have some severe grammar issues), but my issues with the pop-up redirects has not gone away on that site.

I have a question about harem part in raws that are still not translated. Does MC still goes "I love X so I don't need anyone else" route (aka like Hajime from Arifureta) or has there been any development?
What are current members of the harem? |

theres a few other girls (2~3) that might be added to harem but it might also end up as dead flags like some other characters in first town. gotta see how author really writes. for now it is more important that the author needs to get back to his usual update pace because it is very slow lately due to many things happened in his rl |

Again, it's a bit better presented in the novel. That said, here are some differences in how it happened in the novel for some of the things you said. 1. No sabotage attempts against his cultivation bet: The teacher didn't think it was necessary, and doesn't have enough authority in her group to order it. 2. Douche In the Library: Didn't actually wet himself in fear, but hurt himself. He tried to attack with a blunt soul force attack, and was countered via Nie Li making his own soul force's exterior pointy, which countered the attack. 3. "Mobbing", you have a point. 4. Love Interest: Depends on your point of view, but one could argue that he's only getting her in the written version far later. Though, yes, he does "sow the seeds" around then. 5. While, yes, we can argue that you've only seen minor enemies as Nie Li's opponents so far, I can actually agree with where you're coming from, as I, personally, don't feel that most of the people he's fighting where the translation is up to are far beyond him. This is reinforced by the story saying "Hey, Nie Li can actually fight well enough to beat people a full rank above him!" every now and again. Thankfully, though, he currently has opponents that he probably can't fight head-on and win... which seems to change nothing about how the story happens. |

well he stayed sealed in demon book for thousand years before reincarnated again so.... he is a sage cause in his previous life he studied his ass off for level up in hundred years... after he died demon book sealed his soul inside so he train and study again for thousand years. so he knowing a lot is only normal(deus machine like others novels)
holy family is the start point in his new life.... so he dont care about them. in last chapters there are guys powerfull enough to wipe his ass even with all he knows., so now begin true history.... where all of his past experiences count nothing cause all is new... i run away from chinese manga adapted . they are Almost all crap. (for me)

Author's going through a rough patch. The series is basically on semi-hiatus at this point. Either way, he seems to have a bit of writer's block at the moment; the writing has been pretty poor for months now.
As for the 3 wives and 4-6 concubines, that's just baseless rumor. That entire aspect of the series has completely faded out of the narrative, to be honest.

I'm just hoping that this is temporary. That relieves me a lot more than something like the author actually not wanting to continue anymore... forever.
