Vivio sighed out as she sat down on the floor, crossing her legs and proping her chin up on her hand. "This is stupid."

Fate blinked and placed a hand on her hip. "No it's not, this is a valuable training exercise. It could save your life."

The young girl, currently in teenage mode, rolled her multi-colored eyes. "Right, when would this ever be used?" She took off her bright white hat and placed it beside herself.

"Well," Fate grinned, walking over to her. "There was this one time when..."

~* A few years earlier *~

Fate ran around a corner, the streets deserted in the night. Sounds of footsteps echoed loudly as she moved, paired with the heavy pounding of the people chasing her. 'I need to ditch them,' Her mind thought frantically, eyes scanning each door of the clustered, run-down town. "Bardiche, area scan."

"Yes sir... There is a pub twenty yards ahead."

"Perfect." Fate made a bee-line for the door, eyes glancing up at the flickering neon sign above it. The knob was turned and she glanced over her shoulder briefly before entering in. Immediately, everyone in the bar looked over at her. Some touched their mage devices while other just whispered while looking at the girl who suddenly barged in. 'I need to blend in..' The blonde reached into her pocket, noticing that countless of the people there were preparing for her to pull her device. Instead, the girl produced a shining silver coin. The room went silent as she flicked it with ehr thumb, sending it soaring across the room and into an old jukebox on the otherside of the bar.

The blonde threw back the jacket sides of her suit and strutted forward as music started playing. Making her way to the middle of the floor, she snapped her head to the side and pushed the back of her hat up, making it lower on her face. Her legs moved and she started her dance, soon joined in by the majority of the room. After giving the music time to play, she started to sing along with it while dancing. "As he came into the window, it was the sound of a crescendo! He came into her apartment, he left bloodstains on the carpet!" Everyone followed along with her moves, dancing and twirling around the girl in the bleach white suit and tie over the blue undershirt.

~*Current day*~

"-And that was how I was able to escape the people chasing me." Fate finished her store to a wide eyed Vivio. " Choreographed dance moves are an important part of staying undercover, so get back up and lets practice moonwalking again."

No, I wasn't giving an alcoholic milkshake that I drank without knowing it was loaded. I also didn't watch the coolest music video ever afterwords.

fate is like angel? buffy is doomed, soon as she woos fate, nanoha is gonna stake her x_x

(canonically, buffy is bi-leaning and has been caught with females in bed to much laughs... in the comics)

Personally, I'd rather see Moka Akashiya from Rosario+Vampire go toe-to-toe with Fate. Ironically, they both have the same seiyuu.

Speaking of, since its been a while since I last asked, and we have lots of new people, how do you guys get your ideas for fics?

I generally break everything I see down into fic ideas, from music, movies, real life things, ect. Specially pictures, they are awesome fic fodder. My shorts are done with no planning at all ( much like Vampire!Fate ) but my longer ones are normally planned out while taking nice long showers :3

Generally I'm inspired when I'm reading something I like or watching a good show, or if I come up with an interesting plot when I'm bored.

I mean, the whole plot for BtBR came to be because I saw Triangle Heart: Sweet Songs Forever and liked it, even if it was only four episodes. Sometimes I make jokes with my friends about certain aspects of the series, and then I can't resist developing them into a story.

If you're wondering about me, I get my fic inspiration mainly from tunes, actually. I mean, I'll take it from a dream or a song I hear once in a while, but I normally get it from listening to an orchestral piece of music and jotting down what it makes me think of.

I just have lots and lots and LOTS of ideas in my head. Sometimes they come out to play, sometimes not. I'm a big fan of crossovers, so, that's probably a big reason for having lots of ideas just run though my head. I always want to see if "series A can work with Series B" in some way, shape or form.

Heck, I've got a half-completed s-CRY-ed/Nanoha fic in my head somehow.

Music inspires you huh?

As long as it's not some lame Michael Jackson song that inspires you to do a short story, you'll be fine :3

crossovers... I normally hate them. I was a huge fan of Ranmaball Z growing up, as it was just so incredibly awesome!..... then I read some of it again a year or so ago and almost cried at how pathetic it was T_T

Series that could work with Nanoha...... hmmmmm...... *thinks* We'd have to make sure it follows the latest Nanoha trend. We need to introduce manynew characters (at least 15), not develop the mass of ones we already have, try to cover our mistakes with fanservice, dedicate over half of it to "slice of life" and then try to make up for it be having a good final battle.

Sorry, I'm still bitter at StrikerS. *hated it*

My story ideas normally come to me either when I'm listening to music, or when I'm trying to sleep.

As for types of music, I don't really have a preference, just listen to what I feel like at the time.

@synaesthetic: Actually, that sounds interesting, although I though Alien rather than Buffy for "horror with an Action Girl protagonist" since it sounded like you were playing the horror aspect straight instead of tongue-in-cheek.

also @Satashi: I tend to get my ideas from other people's stories? (Hey, I'm a fanfiction writer! That's the point.) Seriously, though, what generally happens is that I read or watch or otherwise experience something that catches my interest sufficiently that I want to express my own creativity about it. It might be a character or setting, in which case the result is generally fanfiction, or on the other hand it might be a mood or a genre or a particular take on a trope or motif, for which original fiction may emerge.

My ideas come from general stuff, movies, books, etc, but in a slightly odd way... It's more like the language/construction of a scene is what gets me thinking, if that makes any sense

I end up thinking "What if this happened?" or "wouldn't it be cool if"

, and when some scenes are so powerful they bring you to tears I go "What did they do to make me cry!?" Or I like the writing style of what I'm reading and end up getting little ghosts of characters and settings that go along the same style.

The step from idea-->story almost always comes in dialogue; little snippets of conversation that keep going into characters and plots
