The larger question (aside of how or if they will win in Episode 12) is will there be more? With Miho's backstory in Little Army, I think there is a good setup for an International tournament.

Interesting, Pravda looks to be middle sized in terms of its carrier, and actually the 2nd smallest school (even smaller than Oarai) there if you extrapolate from inhabited surface area (first is that sub like thing on the top right corner) - what might it be, one of those joke schools like "Waffle" and "Yoghurt"?
BTW, when I saw Pravda's nearly empty flightdeck in Ep8, I always suspected that if Oarai does get forced into agglomeration, it'll be packed into Pravda's "Kiev". The flightdeck portion is nearly the perfect size and this picture again proves it. |

I guess there is no one that doesn't know this, but...
Spoiler for Saki is:
If it is Anzio, well, they are taking the "let's poke Italy" shtick a little far. They do have a carrier design. |

The carrier on the upper center I'm not sure but could be an Invincible (british) class carrier, or another modern carrier for V/STOL Harrier aircraft. |

Who made the identifications? People on 4chan. Specifically, people from /k/ where they know that kind of stuff. The pics came from Japanese blogs.

Those people (both those on /k/ and who host/contribute to Japanese blogs) have too much time on their hands. At any rate, I think the real fun will be watching OVA 3 shortly

One thing I'm curious about - how sure are they that Saunders is the USS George Washington? Afterall, it's an angled flight deck, and the US has been using that same design since the Forrestral-class carriers. (And technically that should be a Kitty Hawk-class carrier.)

One the plus side, I was correct that the Oarai Adacemy ship was a Shokaku class carrier. Quote:

As for why it's the USS George Washington out of the Nimitz class: Because it's the United States Seventh Fleet, the one stationed in Yokosuka. |
