You should stop before that "too good" becomes "too shitty". This novel seriously goes from 8/10 to 3/10 by the time the MC goes to the God Realm.

^Umm, well, that often happens in CN novels
Too often that I wish there were never higher realms at all Like A Will Eternal, everything that has been painfully crafted, all that world building, got discarded when they had no choice but to ascend to higher realm

Not bad, but there is one thing I am quite disappointed with. When he gets his territory and starts managing it, it is quite nice and the big battle against the bandit army is great. The groundwork for his great conquest is set. It even kind of seems to go in that way with further strengthening of the army and the city just to... decide it's too much bother and go back to the usual 1vs1 xianxia fights.
I felt like this had much more potential to go in that direction (and it was kind of fun reading some army fights and management), but after that one fight, it just ceases to matter. He is officially the lord of that territory, but he does virtually nothing. He doesn't even care for the invasions of the duchies after that. And he neither gains anything from being the city lord. It just feels like adding it to the story was completely pointless. Also, while he is a necromancer, neither this seems to matter as his rarely ever uses this. |

^Indeed
The 7 duchies plotpoint had the potential to be great Especially with Helen Tina reputation thingy But MC went missing for 5 years instead By then, the relations between countries don't matter anymore because he ascended to God Realm Thus like all CN stories, the enemies will also adjust their level and only Godly beings matter now Such a disappointment That's why Age of Adepts is so great coz Godly beings are restricted

Age pf Adepts is more of a party/team level than an army. While I quite like how it handles the power balance, the fights usually stay in the territory of dozen/s people. What I mean is more like an army of a thousand defending/sieging a city or bigger battles with som loses on both sides. Something in the territory of Santairiku but with CN take on it.

Don't expect actual real army building and fighting in Xianxia and Xuanhuan stories. You're seriously looking at the wrong genre for that.
Xianxia and Xuanhuan are mostly about cultivation to become Immortals and Gods. Most of the time in such stories, armies only, if ever, matter at the beginning where the MC is still a weakling.

To be honest, I find this something very good. Personally, I hate reading boring army building and lengthy army fightings.
Conquering the world is boring and a waste of time. The MC might as well put effort into adventuring and fighting godlike beings instead of building an army of weaklings to fight another army of weaklings.
