Considering this is going to get an anime adaption, I would say there's going to be at least 10 volumes or so.

by the way, any info on the anime adaption? Was kinda surprised when I saw the news in Chapter 30

I wasent lol, I mean who didint see an anime coming sooner or later.

I always read each series without ever getting my hopes up for an anime adaption, so it always comes off as a surprise (pleasant or not) when I see things like Pandora Hearts, Kurokami, and Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahō (that one REALLY caught me by surprise) get anime adapted when I wasn't expecting it.

When I first picked up Omamori Himari before it got its first volume out, I thought it was a cute series, but somewhat flat story and characters. Didn't think it would attract much attention, but I guess acting cute and and offering fanservice does get you far in life...

Sure i do understand that it was announced so early, but overall it was foreseeable because come on Omamori Himari is a very populer monthly manga.

Not to mention the popularity of series with a lot of fan service. Hell, they butchered the Rosario + Vampire manga to make a fan service anime.

Fanservice is great, but a whole anime based on it... It gets really old really fast.

I still really dont get why things like Amaenaide yo and kanokan are so popular. but I also dont get why moe manga/anime are so popular either while awesome mangas like Mx0 gets the short stick

I guess japanese taste is way beyond me.

Omamori has alot of fanservice, but it does well in alot of areas as well, that makes it stand out from the rest.

I know Kanokon is crap plot wise, but Chizuru is just about the hottest girl in anime or manga in my opinion. As for Mx0, I honestly hated that manga, and I usually like that genre. So I guess it's all just personal taste.

I could be wrong, but shouldn't the next chapter come out within a week? After all, chapter 29 was scantalated over a month ago.

Kanokan did have a weak plot. I have to agree about Chizuru though. Hot damn! lol.

And Mx0 had potential.. I guess that's why it ended.

Taiwan's localization of most series always takes a lot of liberty in modifying the title of the series. Not too big of a deal unless you're an extreme purist (although it makes it a pain to search up information on the web, since simplified Chinese title != traditional Chinese title)

ch31 of Chinese scan is out. We get some back ground story about Shizuku and a new Character. 16 pages for a month release is too few.
