As I prefaced when I necro'ed another thread a while back.. I've read all 521 posts here before making this one.
I just recently watched this series and I really liked it. I don't remember what led me to it. I have a text file where I dump the names of series/movies that catch my interest, and then pick one when I'm looking for something new to watch. Besides what airs on Toonami (I'm a casual anime fan these days), the last series I watched was Blue Drop, which affected me pretty profoundly, and that was when this series was brand new. I think I may have seen the blu-ray cover and liked the art style. I definitely recommend One Week Friends to someone who wants to watch something a bit lighter with the intent to create some feel good emotions. The art style and music really works well towards this. It's not a moe/harem/fanservice/action anime, which is refreshing these days, but it still has enough of a hook to keep you wanting to watch the next episode (and the next and so on). It also works pretty well as a 12 episode anime, and didn't feel like it dragged on too badly. In fact, I think it'd do better as maybe 15 episodes. Next up is to read the manga.. one of the benefits to coming in late is everything is already finished so there's no waiting So yeah, definitely enjoyed this. It's good enough, for me, that it gets included in my list of favorites. Spoiler:

Finished the manga and I really enjoyed it. I definitely think it's a very good supplement to the anime and anyone who has only seen the anime, and really liked it, should look into reading the manga.
I really do think the anime would have been better with 3-4 more episodes. However, I think the manga had some issues as well, especially towards the end. Spoiler:
So yeah. All in all.. this is an enjoyable series. I don't think it's one that's going to leave you with a profound feeling of emptiness when it ends, but it's an enjoyable distraction for however long it takes to watch and read.

I just re-watched this, while a friend watched it for the first time ever. She loved it!
I still think it needed to be 15 episodes BTW, did you know that there's a chapter 39 on the manga? https://www.reddit.com/r/manga/comme...logue_chapter/
