ROFL they made him a girl.
He sure was popular with the guys ^^
Of course he found Shinon..
Wonder how pissed she'll be when she finds out he's a guy.
So Kirito went for the "easy" & fast money.
Watching him beat that gunman was awesome!
That was one way of getting rich & famous fast.
Shinon sure has vast knowledge about all kinds of guns.
Of course he went for his favorite weapon ^^
Having Shinon as a guide was like he hit the jackpot.
Still, this is a different game & he has a lot to learn.

Good episode again, I'm actually amazed at how they have managed 4 episodes in a row with pretty good pacing. The dialog still remains cheesy at parts however.

I'm surprised that Sinon didn't find out about Kirito being a guy during the bike ride, since she was holding onto his front side when they first got on. Would have been a perfect opportunity too from a storytelling point of view. I guess she thought he was just a washboard chick.

I kid, I kid.

That was a good episode imho. managed to explain the systems a bit more and walked us through Kirito getting into the game. Now all that's left is him picking up his trademark black coat and he's all set.

Also: interesting to see them call the light sabers "Beam Sabers". Very gundam-esque name

The Jedi Knight games demonstrated that having Force powers severely unbalanced the gun situation between being able to block shots with the lightsaber and liberal use of Force Pull. It got a bit more balanced out later.

Besides, then everyone would want to use the lightsaber anyway, and you might as well be back in a fantasy game.

LOL Kirito totally misled her as being a girl.

Anyways it seems he was looking at the Game Machines eyes when it was shooting bullets. That Laser shotgun in the end was hax tho.

And finally, Kirito brings a sword to a Gunfight, though using a handgun for support kinda makes that point less salient.

Bad Kirito, letting Sinon think he was a girl, but he's on a limited time budget and he correctly guessed that Sinon would drop her guard and be more forthcoming to what she thought was a female newbie so it was a necessary evil. Though the lie will eventually come out and when it does he is a DEAD man.

You know it was kinda fine for the most part, he never said that he was female and she didn't say that she considered him female (although it wasn't necessary for him to try to act like a woman).
But then near the end Sinon actually said "it is rare for female players to be in this game", which would have warranted a prompt clarification from his part.

He no longer can use the excuse "I never tried to deceive you".

Kirito is going to have a bad time when Sinon learn he is a guy, Sinon was really good in this episode despite being fooled by Kirito.

Having an unbeatable game isn't that unsual, I'm more curious about why anyone would ever play it in the first place. Based on what we saw, the game resets to a pot of 0 after Kirito wins, so the first person to play would be earning... nothing. And the 2nd and 3rd and 4th wouldn't get much either. It's unclear how the pot got so high in the first place, really.

Logically it would have some minimum high-ish value to make it attractive, but then it becomes an infinite source of quick gold as soon as one person can clear it reliably. Which might screw up the game economy.
