I want series with cool male protagonist, serious atmosphere and sound plot if it's possible.
Out of this genre I liked: Darker than Black Blassreiter Senko no Night Raid Phantom http://myanimelist.net/animelist/Violet_fire though list is incomplete PS Is Raxephon good?

Steins;Gate will do the job: cool protagonist, a serious atmosphere and animation, an awesome cast and a very interesting and thrilling plot: it's about a group of freshly acquainted friends who manage to find a way to send messages to the past by using a telephone/microwave thingie. The very first episode is already so much interesting that it will be a must to watch the next one and so on. There is much suspense and surprise, there is a romance and much time travelling. Despite its themes (time travelling), it's set in our current world , so it's very real-like. Here's a pic of the cast, i'm sure you'll love it
Spoiler for pic:

Here are my recommendations,
Berserk - It's got everything you're looking for. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood - The same as above Samurai Champloo - Extremely good. Fate Zero - The best action show this season Blood+. Claymore. Cowboy Bebop.

He already seen Phantom -Requiem for the Phantom-.
Trinity Blood will also do the job : cool male protagonist, plenty of serious moments and has religion as the central theme of the show. Check yourself the plot on ANN and go watch the anime in 24 episodes.

I watched Steins Gate and read/saw all things connected with Fate universe and currently watching Fate/Zero.
I don't like all this blood/vampires themes in anime nor in real life. Maybe I will try FMA, but I want something about 12-25 episodes. I want to start Wolf's Rain/ Raxephon but I don't know which to start with.

I find another one, it's called 11Eyes : the 2009 12-episode supernatural action romance TV anime is focused on Kakeru, a guy who possess heterochromia (his left eye is very special) who always protects Yuka, his childhood friend. However, they were traumatized by Kakeru's older sister's death since they were little. Kakeru and Yuka have to meet plenty of new friends to fight against the monsters who control the scarlet world and many mysteries will be revealed. It contains a cool protagonist, serious atmosphere, lot of action, lot of romance, a bit of fanservice, a little amount of comedy and lot of drama will hook you to watch this one.

I didn’t see Broken Blade in your list. Have you seen it? It has good action, good story and decent characters. It consist of six 1-hour episodes, so it’s equal to 12 normal episodes.
Other serious action which aren’t in your list are Karas, Kurokami and Witchblade.

How about Monster?
Another possibility might be House of Five Leaves. Though it isn't action-packed, it has a mostly male cast and a serious story. Hyouge Mono has periods with action; it is, after all, about the Sengoku period. But it also has extended periods where the various contenders spend a lot of time scheming. It reminds me at times of a Kurosawa film like Kagemusha. However the fansubs are also incomplete and being released very slowly. The Apothecary shows, Bakeneko and Mononoke, have a very cool protagonist, serious dark stories, and often quite a bit of fantasy action. Baccano! might fit your tastes as well, though it's a dark comedy. I also see you didn't watch the second season of Black Lagoon. I think it's much better than the first one, particularly the opening and closing arcs.

Gankutsuou (Count of Monty Crisco) - As visually pleasing as it is plot pleasing... Speed Grapher - The main character has a photo-ap even your I-phone can't eff with... Mitchiko E. Hatchin - It stars a female, but it fits everything else especially if you are a Bebop and Champloo fan...IMO it concludes as the Trilogy for the "all about the journey" anime genre...

Texhnolyze is one of the most serious anime ever made. There is almost zero comedy in the whole series. The action is not everywhere, but it's animated very well and has a certain cruel rawness to it. The protagonist is an adult; he's not exactly "cool" but he speaks very little and he is perpetually serious.
Blue Submarine No. 6 is also serious, and it's more action-packed than Texhnolyze is. The protagonist is an adult, and he probably qualifies as being "cool". The animation is pretty great, except for the 3DCG, which I personally didn't mind. It's only 4 episodes long and tells a complete story so you can marathon it easily and be satisfied at the end. |

I think Casshern SINS would be perfect for you =03. The main char isn't a total badass, but he is cool in his own way, but more importantly, the plot is wonderful, even emotional in some ways.

Another, MC is 15 years old and story is dark. Series are a mix of mystery and horror.
Aoi Bungaku series are a set of small, separate stories based on famous Japanese novels. Baccano has a lot of comedy but series still are more serious then majority. Nice action, simple story but great execution and interesting characters. Beck are serious series about a music band. Berserk are interesting action series with cool, strong MC. Claymore are another more bloody action series but main characters are females so duno if it will work. Elfen Lied are gore series with nudity but once again female is in the lead. Ga-Rei Zero are for biggest part serious and tragic series but with female in the lead. Ghost Hunt are interesting, detective like series about ghosts. Male MC is pretty cool. Hundred stories are serious series but with weird animation style. Quiet dark, story is a bit episodic though and not fully finished in my opinion. Monster are good detective series with adult MC. Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin are great dark series about group of friends who met in prison. Series follow their harsh live in prison and after. Some cool charas there. Sakuragi and Mario stand out the most for me. Series gave me similar feeling as Phantom despite having different theme. Shiki, I know you said that vampires are not your thing, not mine either but I really liked this series. They have nice dark atmosphere. Sword of the Stranger is a cool movie with some great action scenes. Hope you will find something of your taste here
