With Mao traveling back in time, does that mean her present Demon King self is around too? I could see this ending with Mao taking a liking to Yusha and her friends and helping her defeat her past self, which would change history.

Or it's a closed loop and the ending of the anime will be the ending we've already seen at the beginning of ep.

I wasn't sure I was going to stick with it after the first episode, but the second was a home run. It was funny from start to finish.

My favorite part was also Yusha casually looting that lady's house (and finding raunchy lingerie) like in a RPG and getting thrown out as a result. I'm surprised I haven't seen more anime joking about this RPG trope.

I'm already getting attached to the characters, they're all really likable and have great chemistry. We can probably also stop worrying about the show being formulaic since Mao has already decided not to become the Demon King this time because she's realized she can't possibly stop those idiots from repeating history. She seems to have taken a liking to teaching, too.

Bikini Warriors funniest episode(3 I think) had them looting a friendly town before being captured by a mob of angry villagers.

The end of the episode got some good laughs out of me

It's kind of how I would react to this whole sort of situation. What is the point of Mao continuing on this path? She's clearly seen how this is going to turn out. She can't stop these girls from being what they are and any efforts to sway them just makes them stronger. If she keeps this up then history will just repeat itself. At best this time they won't screw up in defeating her and...she'll die. And at worst they will screw it up again and a time loop kicks in once more. Might as well just throw in the towel. Things are good anyways. Teaching is going well and she's fairly popular.

And I even kind of like how they tackled their leader issue. They work really well just all sharing the load and taking charge when needed. All of them have way too many flaws to be a complete leader for all situations.

Also I think this episode proves that Mao was using some form of illusion to mask her appearance as the Demon Lord since the secret door to her snack room was too small for that form to fit through.

Also there's the possibility that there's another being besides Mao who could be a Demon Lord in this time line (as I'm a little suspicious about the older teacher that Mao hangs out with in this episode).

Ok, now I'm seeing the magic. That was just a fun episode, with plenty of moments that actually made me laugh out loud. That said, please stop pointing out how cute everything is. It's not that I don't like cute things, I just don't need the show pointing it out to me.

Yusha's and Seira's bids for leadership were by far the best, by the way

Good observation. Now, it's really possible that the real form is the smaller one.

I figured this made that clear enough. That may also explain why Yuusha's sword-strike in the first part of episode 1 didn't kill her: she occupies a small enough part of that large form that she was able to move her real body out of the way.

I didn't notice myself at first, but looking at screencaps from episode 1, and even the official character portraits, it's not exactly a secret (though you can't see it at all from the front). Now I'm wondering if Yusha's piece of pink fabric falling from the top of her bikini armor is meant to make the whole piece resemble lingerie, and if so, wow, Namori got lewd for this job.
