Crunchyroll announced for streaming. Looks like a Winter 2020 show.

After ID didn't think anything else would show up to challenge it. This first episode was not the most fancy first episode this season but sure as hell was enjoyable with all the turns, feints and curve balls.
Hope this keeps up in quality of the writing.

I must admit, I really like Kotoko as a character. Sharp as a tack, and very forward about what she wants and why. I do wonder how she would have handled situations like this one before Kuro showed up. While she seems to be reasonably athletic, it doesn't look like she has much in the way of offensive capbility if negotiations fall through.

Kotoko using that goat comparison was kinda amusing. I like her personality so far with her wild imaginations.
Seems the first episode had an entertaining amount of character chemistry between her and Kuro.

I loved the first episode. So many little twists and turns in such a short timeframe. Kotoko is really likable. I liked how she had the upper hand the whole time during the conversation and even manipulated Kuro into going to the library. Her reasons for liking Kuro are good too, he's hot (the whole goat thing was weird but funny) and mysterious, I'd say those are pretty realistic reasons. Certainly better than "he's nice".
Speaking of Kuro, I'm really interested in his backstory. Which youkai did he eat to get such powers? Who in their right mind would even eat youkai? What's with the cousin he's visiting?

That was an excellent start. Kotoko is a pretty likable character and I like how straightforward she is about what she wants while still being a bit manipulative.
Kuro seems like he has a pretty interesting story to him. His sick cousin is one thing, but eating a youkai is something else entirely.

Kotoko is a pretty charming and compelling lead so far. Cute as a button but also intelligent, daring, and surprisingly flirty when she has her eyes set on someone. I'm looking forward to seeing more of how she handles the world of Yokai and how her relationship with Kuro will progress .
I guess I can appreciate it if the nurses are less chatterboxes when it comes to actual patients . Man, Kuro is one lucky guy. He had a super hot and older longtime girlfriend in Saki-san, and then he has Kotoko with her sights squarely set on him and confessing her love to him with the intent to date towards marriage. I'd say he was the luckiest guy in the world if it wasn't for whatever makes him poison to yokai seeming to have taken a severe toll on himself and his personal life . I dunno, if I was Saki I probably would think a boyfriend with the ability to repel Yokai is a benefit more then a curse, although maybe there was more to it that justified her reaction . The series ends with the Ending instead of the Opening, which is a tad unusual, but I did think it felt more like an Ending then the Opening. Although watching our leads dressed up and dancing with each other was pretty nice .

I really like Kotoko, although I could do without the flirty bits.
She's voiced by the same actress who played Momo the magical girl in Machikado Mazoku, and she's also Nezuko in Kimetsu no Yaiba - um, not that she has much to do in that role. |
