And I shall take her home too.

Though with this comment,

Along with a DVD case for her favorite 'MASCHERA ~Lament of a Fallen Beast~ !
I am beginning to suspect that there are yaoi elements in Maschera like Code Geass (from a fangirl's eyes of course).

In one episode Kirino pointed out how most of Maschera doujinshi were mostly BL. I think it was the episode when Kuroneko and Kirino first met and were arguing over anime series.

I was waiting for a kuroneko nendoroid to come out. I cant wait to get my hands on one

I knew it was only a matter of time, but it still makes me feel all fuzzy inside to see the Kuroneko nendoroid in all her glory. I will certainly be pre-ordering ASAP.

Now all I need is a 1/8 figure of Kuroneko, and life will be complete.

Spoiler for what do you mean "type of thing"???:
It looks like Aniplex is trying to duplicate the success of Bakemonogatari by using the same strategy here. There are 12 TV episodes and 4 web episodes. And the BD/DVD also have ED single and character commentary. This is interesting. If it can produce the same result then this strategy may become the standard for future release in the industry (at least for Aniplex).

Atleast the episodes are released in the BD discs and not in webisodes .. If they were the latter, I wonder if we'd see the fourth episode in 2011 at all .. lol.

Also wtf at that commentary thing, seems like a really stupid idea to me.

Well actually... they did say that they'll be streamed online prior to arriving on the discs. Presumably, though, AIC Build doesn't have the same staffing issues that SHAFT has, so they'll probably keep a more predictable schedule this time.

That's much better, because if those episodes are released only in DVD/BD, we are guaranteed to wait until July/August of next year.

But yeah, this could turn out to be a trend for 1-cour series that needs more episodes but was able to go 2-cour...

BTW, look like LN to anime adaption is now the trend, just look at the series released this year that were of LN origin and the number of titles in upcoming season.

Actually... I'm kind of looking forward to some Kuroneko 1/8 releases. Be a nice addition to the shelf of "small and petite cute ones".

I think they're still going to have to decide it on a per series basis. I've been listening to (bits and pieces of) several commentaries recently, and whilst character commentaries are fun for character driven series, I quite like the information (or sometimes, general seiyuu driven craziness) found in the Geass, Macross and some Durarara!! ones. Not to mention that anything marketed at a female fanbase would probably do better with a seiyuu commentary (e.g. Hakuouki)...

Also, not everyone is as good a writer as Nishio Ishin is. It's almost a pity Bakemonogatari was the first one, since it set the bar so high (the commentaries for Working!! and Angel Beats! weren't received quite so well, even though the later Working!! ones are actually pretty good). OreImo has potential, and I think it'd be nice to hear the thoughts of the characters, including stuff from Kyosuke that was cut out of the novels.

...though since Fushimi-sensei is working on the commentaries, that probably means we won't see volume 8 of the light novel until later in the year...orz

I do hope they re-sell the elusive dakimakura they put out at C78 like they did with the Misaka one at the earlier Comiket. Kirino's is going for about at least around $300 right now

Since I don't understand anything about figurines, I'm going to ask a stupid question : What's the point of figurines like the one above, where the figurine is completely gray with no colors at all ? Looks stupid if anything.

That's just an unpainted sample to show the design. It'll be painted later on before release.

Although there are garage kits where you can paint it as you wish, but that takes a bit more dedication/skill...
