Emi finally has something she needs to worry about. The amounts of the demon that she needs to deal had increased to 3.
Just imagine that 3 demon lords got back their power. Emi will be completely outnumbered. Emi's mind: MUST.STOP.MAOU.AND.ETC.TO.GAIN.BACK.THEIR.POWER. *stalking Maou* Policeman: What are you doing here? Stalking your boyfriend? Emi: Boyfriend? |

I like the ending sequence better now (although I still don't think it fits the series at all) but they still kept that annoying camera gaze up Chiho's body at the end...ugh!
Cute episode, I like that Urushihara joined the group and the fact that he is a NEET has added a new dynamic. Although Maou/Ashiya will always be my favorite pair. I loved when the high school girl asked if they shared a futon. It's crossed my mind too my dear girl. Chiho has been growing on me a lot. I don't really like her character type so I guess it's a testament to the writing that I actually find her pretty cute and not annoying at all. I can't blame her for having a crush on Maou either. As for Emi, I think the tsundere thing is getting a bit old. Don't get me wrong I understand the conflict in Emi's mind and can appreciate that her whole life was dedicated to defeating Satan, when that gets taken away it feels like she has lost her purpose. So even though I think she knows Maou is not a bad guy, she can't leave him. Maou is still Emi's purpose even if she has to invent reasons for it (keeping tabs on you). So no I don't mind Emi's reasoning at all, I just wish they would tone down the Tsun part of her personality just a bit.

No, Ashiya is a house-husband. He does all the cooking, cleaning, washing, shopping for groceries, clothes, etc. That's quite a lot of work, even if the flat is small and they don't have many belongings. And in his free time he does magic research.

Hahaha. Although the humor and epicness is down a notch this episode (for the obvious cool-down episode), this episode was still quite good. Didn't think Maou would get scared over rumors of all things.
So there are three people living in one apartment... and a new neighbor (who is obviously Ente Isla-related). Like the updated OP, although it spoiled the addition of the character introduced at the end of the episode. And it officially proclaims Lucifer as 'one of the gang'. Seems like Lucifer must have done similar things in the past, because Maou wasn't worried, or anything, at all.

I know what NEET means. And for that matter, I also know that to be qualified as a NEET you have to be either single or not involved with domestic work, depending on which definition we use. (Otherwise housewives and stay-at-home moms would be also NEETs.) Now, Ashiya's marital status is debatable (ha :3) but he's definitely involved with domestic work. So...
("House-husband" is in fact his official job description.) |
