Holy damn, can't believe it got its own forum. Good for Valvrave.

As for episodes 1 though 5, I loved episode 1, but then after that the shows quality has slowly declined.

As for the first five episodes, I loved 1-3. Episode 4 was good, simply because Senator Moses was awesome, but I'm not a Shoko fan. 5 was good but I need more L-11. He's my favorite character and he's been a little lacking lately.

I gave a perfect 10 for every episode except episode 1, simply because the trolling and nonsense is just so absurdly amazingly awesome (I actually laugh non-stop while watching it).

And Valvrave actually got a subforum...

I'm glad to see that the series got its own forum, but I have mixed feelings about the series as it goes on.

Episode 1 sets up a fantastic premise for the series. I've heard it said that Valvrave is like a cross between Gundam Seed and Code Geass, and episode 1 definitely supports that. As far as comparisons with other anime series go, each episode afterward seemed to mimic a different series each time. The overall feeling of the series has become difficult to pin down.

Many anime series used to follow a certain formula in the past. The first eight to 12 episodes would introduce the world and characters, perhaps engaging in a miniature plot, but the "true" theme and subject of the series wouldn't take place until the second half. Modern anime series have thankfully gotten better about moving away from that formula, but it seems as if Valvrave might be utilizing it. Or perhaps I should say, I hope that it is. The series premise makes for a lot of potential, and episodes 3-5 seem to be squandering it.

But who knows? Perhaps when the series is over we will be able to look back and view those episodes as being necessary to setting up something greater within the series.

About time Valvrave got a sub forum. It's only to be expected from the AOTYAYEY.
