Geez.. they are taking a lot of time setting this up. 18 is another setup episode and I hope that we will finally have a lot of good battles start... this series is also looking like a 48-52 episode instead of the 24-26 I was expecting.

The scene outside the president's office reminded me of Episode 26 of Galactic Heroes. Change is coming to his planet.

I've started to catch up with my summaries and impressions of Tytania. Here is a double feature in episodes 16-17. This arc was better then the last couple, but I was still left very disappointed in the way it all ended.

Is it just me or is team Fan kind of... incompetent?

Their schemes tend o work more out of luck than anything. Fan couldn't even manage his own escape, and that's not mentioning the whole Lira disaster, wich could have been avoided by saving the tearfull reunion for later and Fan carying any sort of gun in the middle of a battlefield...

Like I speculated in the article, I'm pretty sure they don't actually have to be competent, they just have to run full tilt at whoever is pointing a weapon at them and they'll be able to get out of any situation.

Just checked and damn, its 26 episodes and even more, starting tommorow it will be 2 episodes per week. (according to ANN)

Well well I took a look around Jucaa about a hour ago and guess what I found? Episode 19, subbed and all. Looks like Tytania is finally back on after not having seen any new episodes for 2~3 weeks.

You know... Tytania is at its best when it is just a character development and interaction study than when it is trying to develop the joke of a plot it has. I have deeply appreciated the episodes dedicated to Hyulick development as a character, to Jouslain and his minions... however the kinds of ep. 20 show why it shouldn't try to be like its older brother, LOGH and just stick to what it does best. Ep 20 was just a piled bunch of impossibilities, coincidences and sheer luck. Heck, why don't we just have Dr, Lee lead the revolution anyway?

Does anybody know if the story is past where the novels ended yet?

(And I kinda stopped watching after episode 18...loved LoGH and Yakushiji Ryoko but eventually lost all interest in Tytania as the fail mounted.)

Reading this thread it seems Tytania is just a crappy show, but this isn't the case at all: I bet there are tons of watchers who are appreciating this anime and are totally satisfied with it. I'm one of these watchers for sure. The reason this thread is so negative is because of people who have to whine who feel the need to post mostly. This doesn't mean the show itself is bad or that the majority of the watchers aren't satisfied with it!

I only wanted to make this post to tell to the casual reader there are people who appreciate this anime very much!

PS Zarlish was very calm in this episode. I expected him to nuke the entire planet after hearing about Hyulick's death.

I liked both episodes, though like i've said quite a few times, i'd rather see the slice of life episodes revolving around Tytania. That's what i love about this show.

- how did they communicate with Bob and Dick?
- why didn't they escape with Hyulick?
- at which point in that series were we supposed to be impressed by the brilliance of Tytania in general and Zarlish in particular?

It seems that the producers of the show are trying to finish it off rather quickly by showcasing two episodes per night.

It's probably going to be one of those open-ended endings.

Looks like Tytania is finally back on after not having seen any new episodes for 2~3 weeks. Spoiler for Ep.19 Impressions: Interesting episode. This time it's not the Hyulick crew but the Tytania side that is central throughout the episode. Episode starts with Lord Idris being assigned as the new Minister of War. As Lord Jouslain and Lord Aryabhata expected, he quickly expands his power. Idris' first move is applying for his younger brother (17 yrs old) to take the spot of Imperial Guard Commander. This younger brother, however, has the habit of hooking up with the ladies. When visiting Uraniborg, he tries his move on Lydia, who responds by giving him a kick in a certain fatal spot. Bal'Ami blocks the punch the younger brother throws at Lydia, after which the same guy insults Bal'Ami's 'useless father'. Bal'Ami gives him a straight punch in the face for that. When things are about to escalate, Aryabhata arrives and stops them. This case is to be reviewed in the next supreme council meeting, and Idris is quite angry at his brother. Rest of the episode is about the consequences of this incident. Skipping to the end of the episode. Things have heated up between Idris and Jouslain, they even raised their voices and showed that they can be angry instead of being calm (Jouslain) or be a smartass (Idris) all the time. Bal'Ami is exiled to a remote planet (thanks to a letter Lydia wrote to the clan lord the punishment for him was almost 'generous') and Idris' younger brother has his position as new Imperial Guard Commander canceled and has to leave Uraniborg as well. As Bal'Ami's ship leaves, Idris looks up at the sky and says he won't forgive the person who interfered with his influence, followed by an evil smirk. Next week's episode seems to be the Fan centered as his crew, or rather Dr.Lee, came up with a plan to get him out of Chronos.

With his knowledge it could've been just about anyone escaping, considering the thing was amidst a warzone with a riot going inside the thing. In fact, Zarlish seems stupidly obsessed about getting Fan alive. Crashing your ship into the thing instead of firing at it? The result would likely have been the same had he shot the thing.
