Tsuruya is famous for her fangs, we love her fangs. She has been called several names because of her fangs, like lolfang-tan, fang girl and such.

nah man, serious, i really didnt notice. when i first saw her (i.e. ep4) i remembered her as 'the crazy girl with hair length as long as HERSELF'

Interesting art, that one. Laharl's laugh is just plain cool, whereas Tsuruya basically just laughs a lot. Quality and quantity...

Oh, and the Star Ocean 3 parody is nice.

Considering that the Kyoto illustrators/animators/artists/whatever had to garner inspiration from the first 3 sources, they are really out of their league to re-render the whole cast to look even better than ever without going literally overboard.

On the other hand, the person who illustrated the "manga that shall not be spoken of".... ugh. Really ugh.

Wow... the original manga That Must Not Be Named .... really sucked artwise.

Turning manga art into animation almost always involves some loss of detail.... KyoAni didn't do too badly but it would have been sensory overload if they'd been able to animate with a bigger budget.
