OGM VLC Subtitle help...

I just downloaded VLC so I could play the Tsukiyomi Moon Phase Episode 2 file, and while it's playing the subs, audio, and video, anytime a long subtitle comes up, it get's really messed up. I'm guessing these longer phrases must be more than one line of subs, but they're trying to cram themselves into the same line and naturally, they're unreadable. I've been looking through the options and some other threads to fix this, but I'm at a loss.

Edited to add: Forget to mention, the OP uses several multi-line subs (credits and such), but strangely this problem doesn't occur during the OP. It's only afterwards during actual dialogue that this problem starts.

Hmm... that must be a VLC bug. Try playing it with Media Player Classic.

If it can't open OGM, download the DefilerPak.

(BTW, they aren't multi-line, they're just very long subs and I was expecting other players to truncate them to fit the screen.)

I have the Defiler Pack and the latest Media Player Classic download, but it still doesn't run outside of VLC.

Okay, now this is odd, but I decided to try installing Defiler Pack again (using this thread's link) and now it runs in Media Player Classic without the sub problem.

Not sure why, but now it's working...thanks!

ok, I'm having the same prob w/ sub's cramping onto one line in VLC. I've alrdy DLed the MPC and it plays fine. problem I'm having now is figuring out how to turn on the subs for the MPC. mind telling me what I'm missing? Isaw the "subtitle >" in the "Play" drop down menu but its grayed out and I can't select it.

Right-click on the green arrow in your system tray and select the subtitles there.

It's in your Windows system tray, which is in the bottom right corner of your taskbar,

ok, I finally figured out my problem. I didn't have the Video Render set to VMR7 or VMR9.
