This news gives me a good reason to look at buying those DVDs that Sentai had released earlier this year.

I wonder when Rozen Maiden will be unretired on Animesuki?

Somebody wake me up, please!
Now I can look forward to the next Saimoe with at least some anticipation.

Probably after the release is made official.

I'm curious as to how their going to catch up with the manga.

Fingers crossed for a 'cast being intact' on this one.

Hear! Hear!

I also wonder after eight years of the original broadcast in Japan how well known is the series by the new generation which had ten years and could not see late night tv back then, anyone known if it has been rebroadcast in daytime slot? I wonder if there will be a flurry or reverse imports since I bet nowadays is must be next to impossible to get the R2 original release.

If this will be a sequel I might have to re-watch season 2 to refresh my memory.

Hmm ... well, I liked both seasons of Rozen Maiden, and will be more than willing to give this one a try.

I got the whole "first series" (including that horrible last deus ex machina volume with only 50 pages in it along with the authors apologizes for such a crappy ending). After that I quit the fandom and now I got a bitter taste for the show in general.
I'll stick around until they announced studio/director etc until I make up my mind.

Yes that last volume of the first series had all the hallmarks of a 'contractual obligation album/film' to it. Which I earnestly hope the new anime avoids with the ten foot barge.

I never thought they would actually continue it.
I'm glad they are, though!
Hoping for Ali-Project again.

Personally, either Yukari Tamura or Saori Gotou is fine as the majority of the cast of RM dolls were part of Galaxy Angel.

I wouldn't mind Yukari Tamura, if she used a voice similar to Bernkastel:

It's a shame that she always gets type cast into roles with high pitch, childlike voices; her lower more mature sounding voice is pretty awesome.

Well... I was not expecting that ! I don't know if I'll watch it because honestly, the second season of Rozen Maiden was really bad in my opinion...
