Afterall, this is filler where Naruto will perform Kagebunshin-no-jutsu and the trusty spinning whitish-blue-ball-on-my-hand technique for at least once in each episode and that is if the animators take mercy on the viewers.

Also, the addition of the badass pirate ninja owl was genius.

3/5. Not too bad, but nothing special. It would have been better if Kiba's sister gets more developed as a character.

I wonder why the file is the same size as normal, even though it is of a lesser quality...

Anyway, Anime News Network mentioned the upcoming episodes... It seems like they are all single episode stories.

You guys have always to complain about anything...

This episode was very nice and I enjoyed it... I don't understand why you keep watching fillers if you hate them... only to come here and show off saying "that's bullshit" and so on?

pretty good for a filler,a little cliche though and finding out kiba and akamaru bathe together is something no one wanted to know.

this is my favorite part.(I'm sure alot guys feel the same way)

This is the only episode I didn't watch to the end.

The concept and execution was appalling.

That episode could actually have been promising. With some better animation ofc, but still there was something more.

The scene with Naruto versus Kiba could have been awesome if the two of them had actually fought! Taking flashbacks from their first fight at the chuunin exam, maybe let Kiba win too? Would have been original, and make the filler worth watching

The ninja owl made my day ... who needs akamaru when you can get one of those?

EDIT: Meh, I gave this a 4 ... it was more tolerable than a lot of episodes, Kiba got mauled, and they played a lot of the cool music XD

It's been a long time in Naruto since an episode had pulled out enough drama to make me sob.

In fact, this filler portrayed to the best more in perspective about the Kiba-Akamaru friendship camaderie but this time in a worst-case scenario.

BTW, Hana Inuzuka, Kiba's sister, is both cool and hot.

She must be around the same age or slightly older than Temari; she's likely the genius prodigy among the Inuzuka clan from my observations on her for this episode.

lol - was an alright chapter I thought, was a little expected Kiba's sis to be the Special Force team. I thought the idea of Kiba talking to akamaru at the end was very cheesy, but i guess a dog is a man's best friend after all. It must be something special if you would attack a very good friend, go against your Leader's direct orders and put your self and your village at risk.

oh and is it just me? or does Kiba's sis' body look EXACTLY the same as that Peacock Lady's? Same shape and dimentions etc etc.

I was also really shocked by the animation, but I can look past that

OK I'm kinda loosing it here...Most of the same people who rag on nearly every other ep says this one was good? O_o;; Akamaru didn't fight (except for that lame part when he knocked the needle away)... the whole episode was silly with no good explanations for Akamaru...I rate these type of eps more harshly than the others...What could have been a great battle of Naruto and Kiba vs. Akamaru or Naruto vs. Kiba in an awesome jaded throwdown got wasted...Akamaru could have done his twister move and everything but just stood there foaming at the mouth and then let like 5 dawgs less than half his size beat up on him...This ep had the potential to be great by any standard, but wasted that potential by a cliche' ending that frankly wasn't as good as most of Naruto's cliche moments...Akamaru in beast form was totally wasted because he didn't do jack...They didn't even show when he beat those other guys that forced ANBU on the scene...The animation team didn't feel like drawing that $hit I guess...So we get a whole ep of Akamaru in ridiculous beast mode and all he does is growl and gives one moonlight pose, bah...

2 outta 5, and that was for getting my hopes up....

In fact, this filler portrayed to the best more in perspective about the Kiba-Akamaru friendship camaderie but this time in a worst-case scenario. Spoiler: Kiba will resort to extreme measures from going against his friends, family, village to maybe even making of deadly force to defend Akamaru. BTW, Hana Inuzuka, Kiba's sister, is both cool and hot. She must be around the same age or slightly older than Temari; she's likely the genius prodigy among the Inuzuka clan from my observations on her for this episode.
