Each person has their own thing when they talk about bad animation (low framerate, lack there of, cutting corners, poor drawings, off-model, etc), but in this case, most of us are referring to characters are off-model frequently and breakdowns in the in-between frames of the character models. (Like when they jumped the fence in the Ai Ebihara ep.)

yeah, a devil survivor 1 manga is coming out, but devil survivor 2 manga have already come out for a while

after Persona 4 success in sales, there maybe more anime studio will look at shin megami tensei franchise and adapt Devil survivor.

and lol, though devil survivor have some similarities to pokemon, devil survivor's story is much darker with religious and political theme. what come out of the COMP (or phone) most of the time is creepy mythological creatures instead of some cute monster, and the summoner him/herself also use the COMP to fight.

I like how the story is actually pretty gritty in their portrayal of society, it'll definitely be fun to watch it in anime form.

Nice Sakura scene but nothing can beat Makoto Shinkai's 5cm. Ah well, waiting for the disc only "true end" episode now.

I just hope Johnny Yong Bosch will be able to differentiate his Yu voice enough from his Adachi voice. But he is a voice actor, so I s'pose that won't be much of a problem.

Good news though. I'm hoping they can get them back for Persona 4: Arena as well, but if they managed to get the same cast for the anime, then P4A should likely have an even greater chance. So I'm not too concerned.

I was a tad bit concerned this would be one of those Japanese with English Subtltles only releases but hearing that there will be an English dub works out well for me, now I have nothing holding me back from purchasing the blue ray volumes of the anime.

Though I've heard bad things about Chie's voice in the game.....

I think it will be alright. Funny enough but it was only in the first few hours of the game that her voice made me wince. Hopefully this time Chie's VA will avoid any uncomfortable moments.

My only regret is that we never got to see Naoto's critical hit animation. A lot was lost in the decision not to let the characters themselves engage in combat against the shadows, but I can see why the anime did it.

It might have been a little cheesy if Yuu and Yosuke walked out of the police station after that weapons stunt, only to have Chie show them... a working armor and weapons shop! Which is exactly what happened in the game. It's also funny when they mention "hiding armor under the school clothes" when some of the armor involved is some form of chain mail and plate mail!

Heck, Chie's weapons are shoes of sorts, including a pair with armor going up to her knees and Kanji can use a folding chair as a weapon, I never could believe they managed to sneak those into Junes. xD
