July 13's episode should be chapter 19, if they go chronologically.

I might be wrong, but I think there’s a lot of heavy censors here and there in this episode. There wee some moments when I hear voices and noises but, on screen, we get stills of Annie, the replayed Eren’s titan-face, etc. What’s exactly happening there?
Beside that, a solid episode, but I also feel it’s kinda stupid for the soldiers not to just carefully slice those titans necks when they only paid attention to Eren. Hell, they practically turned their back on the soldiers. Why they have to draw their attention and died in the process? It should’ve been easier to kill them from behind compared to the usual operations where the titans focusing on eating the soldiers. What the fudge?

And shit music? Really? Wow. And comparing it to Bleach, I guess you forgot how the anime was. Shingeki's and Bleach's animation don't even come close. "Horrible Anime" is such an unfair judgment for Shingeki. I guess you haven't really watched the real horrible Animes.

A short recap at the beginning was good.
It was nice that Eren pulled himself together. Luckily Armin succeeded in snapping Eren back. Things are finally starting to feel hopeful. The cleanup took a while. So many casualties... That win didn't seem like a win since so many had lost their lives. It feels kinda unfair they're still treating Eren like an enemy..

Strictly on the animation side, it's a really shabby thing Wits is doing, skipping frames like that, not to mention unfinished colouring (purple bricks lol). They might as well put on a picture show through and through like they've been doing since the beginning and it would've actually worked out for the better.
I'm not gonna be an apologist for the staff shortage/tight schedule the studio is suffering from 'cause they're teaming up with Production I.G afterall. They have nobody but themselves to blame for poor planning and inadequate work allocation. While it's possible to skip an episode or two to alleviate the workload, this is probably not an option for Wits since, unlike a 1-cour show, they've committed themselves to 25+ episodes so I reckon they cannot afford to mess up the broadcast schedule lest they end the show abruptly. A re-cap episode on top of what's already there at the beginning of each ep is already pushing it 'cause it means they'll have to pack the story in tighter from now on, or skip entire scenes/arcs which will probably enrage the audience even more. |

Which it really don't make sense. If the top 10 are among the best the military could offer, then why waste their useful potentials that could contribute a better, hopeful future of humanity, just by isolating them from the hell-hole fill with titans? Though it could be understandable that the government don't wanna send the best men to dust, but they chose to send the lower-class grunts to the front-line instead, while keeping the higher-class at bay just to conserve manpower. And for what? Serving the government? Getting a higher-end lifestyle? In such an apocalyptic time like this?! I'm very curious of the government's martial law. I don't understand.

It wouldn't be as bad if it was a low budget adaption by DEEN, you wouldn't care so much about those flaws, but here seriously Shingeki no Kyojin deserved more than this. It really makes you wish for a future remake in the end.
