Arclight had his right eye and heart healed from his Angel, same thing with Satan after he ate the second christ, Blades Doppelganger should be restored.

Also I am wondering about the other stigmata, Blade and Guido bumped heads and from the looks of the auto barriers from chapter 112, Guido seemed to have as many as Satan. Blade should have been able to snatch the remaining stigamata from Gido when they bumped heads. So even without the Angels power, Blade should still be complete.

If I wasn't reading this manga, I'd swear these chapter summaries every month were just someone trolling for lulz.

But wow, amazing how right a lot of us were right anyway, even if it wasn't quite how we pictured it. And I'm glad some familiar faces returned. I'm curious about the Girls Squad though...it reminds me of the Teruyama clone too much. That part was weird, but it would explain their "demonic" look when they ate Riru, and memories wouldn't be hard to fake: the Teruyama clone had them too.

A ton of unanswered questions though. I expect next chapter to have a megaton bombshell that leads into part 2.

I just finished reading chapter 113. It left me confused, happy and disappointed all together. Some of my initial thoughts

First of all, how can Blade have the ultimate power to do anything when he doesn't have the stigmata for doppleganger? Having the twelve stigmata was a prerequisite for that power wasn't it? So what happened, did the part which got removed from his brain grow back? I guess the official explanation would be Blade ate the angel but having that as an explanation feels like cheating to me since Zero has always been explained as a power to learn fragments not to change your body.

It's nice to see with the portal closed the insane powers can't keep existing. It feels sorta tacked on for convenience's sake but I'm happy it's there. Still what is being cut off exactly? Just the godly powers? If so does that mean nobody will be able to have stigmata's anymore since they looked to be the building blocks of the Godly powers?

I was happy to see there were a bunch of funny moments, not in the least the part where Blade decided to use his godly powers to turn Yamada in a girl. I think the crossdressing was funnier but since we're approaching the end of Needless 1 I guess that doesn't matter much anymore.

As happy as I am to see Seto and Solva are back I have to say it feels cheap and undermines serious events in Needless lessening their impact. For example, Gido decapitating Eve was a surprise but only because at first I thought he had destroyed her brain instead of removing it from her body. I was thinking "Hey that's weird didn't he want to keep her alive?". Which also leaves me to wonder why he didn't just ask Blade to revive Kasumi. Surely Blade was powerful enough to do exactly what Gido wanted from the other side in the first place, save BOTH Eve and Kasumi. Seeing how Kasumi is Eve's sister that seems like a better bet than picking up half of Kasumi's brain and running through a portal which you already know have ridiculous strong beings on the other side with no sign they'd be willing to help you out. And what would be the use of just bringing Eve's brain? Wouldn't he also need the other part of Kasumi's brain?

Then there's Satan. How did he "eat" part of the angel if there was just a part of his brain and eye left? Saten doesn't seem as powerfull as Blade or he could've restored his body in an instant with godly powers(or at least the missing part of his brain). Which makes me wonder why he thinks he can beat Blade with this mental attack. Half a brain(plus eye) against a fully powered up Godly Adam? The only advantage was the initial surprise. Is that really enough? If it is, a floating brain which is looking at Blade with Blade looking back at it should give the others a chance to destroy it and save Blade.

We've seen Eve reconstruct her entire body when she was just a brain so as long as someone just pops her severed head back on her body quick enough I imagine she could reconnect everything herself.

Just one more chapter doesn't look nearly enough to have any sort of fullfilling ending so I'm expecting a major sudden cut-off storywise for the next chapter.

So where is the color spread? Unless I'm mistaken chapter 113 should have one since this would be the first chapter of the next volume. I wonder if that means there won't be a next volume and this and the next chapter will be added to volume 16 when it's published so as to keep needless 1 contained in it's own volumes, making it possible for Needless 2 to start at the first chapter of the next volume.

Just noticed Kuchinashi and Setsuna look normal when everyone is baffled by Blade's choice to turn Yamada into a real girl. That's a nice touch. A sign they're rid of the ESP virus somehow?

Saten is clever, probably the most clever antagonist that has ever been born. Knowing he can't defeat Blade through sheer strenght, knowing he probably got back his Doppelganger after eating the angel, he's gonna destroy the source of all those powers: the brains.

As for how he ate a part of the angel, Doppelganger is the answer, of course. Even a chunk of the brain is plenty enough for such monster. Call it eat it, call it absorb it. The part of the angel he ate was probably very small, enough for his leftovers to take it.

Yeah, I think in that mass confusion when Blade saved the world and Blackspot and recreated Seth and Solva while also making Cruz into a girl, that he used his power to cure the Shoujo Butai, or at the very least, Setsuna and Kuchinashi. You figure that if Blade were going to use his power to make the world a better place, saving the Shoujo Butai would be on the list.

Besides having them be drawn at the very back of that gag panel, you see Setsuna twice in the background thereafter and she's right next to Teruyama but they aren't fighting.

Or at least that's why I think they've been cured of the ESP virus and/or the Eden Seed cells (which was making them demonic/berserk like they did the Teruyama clone).

Though the mass genocide is no more, plenty of clones already exploded. From there those two from Needless 2nd part will gain their powers through surviving the virus. Same goes for the Black Spot, a lot of time passed since the assault began, so the place must be pretty wrecked.

Saten said to become God you needed the twelve stigmata. So now that Blade has become God(even stronger than the 2nd Christ it's said) he'd have to have the Doppleganger stigmata. Unless Saten was full of it which I guess can be.

Saten already had Doppleganger back when he absorbed the remains of the 2nd Christ so it looked more like a combination of Zero and Doppleganger to me. Zero to learn how/what to do(read the blueprint so to speak) and Doppleganger to execute. untill recently there was always a combination of the two(Zero+Doppleganger) when people got eaten so it's hard if not impossible to define what was responsible for what.

I think the main thing which irks me is Blade stated the Adam series greatest power is to absorb ablilities of any living being they take in(chapter 107). Now I assume he's talking about Zero and he said "Abilities", not "abilities and bodyparts" or something else. That in combination with Zero being used to learn other people's fragments by slamming heads or watching them closely it feels getting back Doppleganger using just Zero by eating an angel is cutting corners when he misses the part of his brain responsible for Doppleganger. Now if he had learned some ability not based on doppleganger to heal his brain when eating the angel, that would be a different matter but otherwise I find it unsatisfying. Meh.. perhaps I'm being nitpicky here but that's how I feel about it.

Well since Saten is an Adam, he's definately a pervert. Since he's a shotacon and Blade is a Lolicon, they will repeatedly zap cruz with the ultimate power changing him from boy to girl over and over. In this fierce battle over the destiny of the world and more importantly Cruz's little brother or little sister status Eve will be returned to us in a somewhat comical manner but Cruz's fate will be.... dun dun dun!!! find out on the next episode of .... Needless.

I don't really feel like delving deeper than I already did so unless another read through of my earlier post gives you insight, don't let it bother you.

As for what will happen next? Hmmm....I'd have better luck trying to catch a shark with a butterfly net than make a correct prediction, but since I've always been a fan of an Eve and Blade melt since reading Needless 1.5 I'm saying Saten manages to mess up part of Blades brain, his friends notice it too late but kill Saten. Eve manages to reconnect to her body and fuses with blade to save him. A bit like how Kasumi saved Eve's life when offering part of her brain. The End.

My thoughts for 114 and how it connects to Needless 2:

Saten does something to effectively kill Blade's brain but, since he doesn't know about ANn's existence in Blade's memory, he isn't able to kill her. This allows ANn's personality to take over Blade's body, then allowing her to "defeat" Saten (although not completely since he will be an antagonist in Part 2 or something). Before ANn loses the Almighty, she reconnects Eve's head to her body, saving her life. In addition to that, she turns Cruz back into a boy (I seriously don't believe that this would happen but just imagine that for a second) and turns Blade's body into her own ANn body, which explains why ANn wears the 079 AB collar and why ANn has no fragments besides Zero (since Blade's brain has been killed and all the Fragments he learned are gone, thus leaving ANn with the original fragment of Zero).

But those are just my thoughts and, as you probably already know, are probably nowhere near what'll happen in the final chapter next month. Still, it tries to connect several loose ends together and ends with something that I think would be enjoyable and appropriate.

Great chapter. I'm a bit disappointed that Cruz really turned into Yamada now though. I hope he'll be able to return to Cruz later on in the story.

As for Blade, I actually don't think he has doppelganger now.

Blade: I will!!

Blade: I can heal her right now!!
SFX: Grab

SFX: Dash

Blade: I can attach her head...
Blade: and heal her!!

The way Blade says it ('right now') makes it sound like he can only heal her now that he has the almighty power. He'll lose this chance after his power leaves him.

Spoiler for My thoughts on the final chapter and Needless 2:

Blade will probably fight against Saten for quite a while. I think Blade will win in the end though. I see this happening as a gag. Blade will start thinking about loli's (and Yamada) being naked with socks and Saten can't take it. He'll leave Blade's brains and is instantly 'killed' by Blade. But because of Saten's trick, Blade's almighty power will run out before he's able to heal Eve. Blade's brains are damaged because of the mental battle with Saten as well, so he's starting to forget all kinds of things (powers/memories/etc).

Eve manages to restore herself in this end because someone connects her head and body. Eve will feel quilty as she's living because of a part of Blade's brain and decides to give that part of Blade's brains back to save him. Since there's nobody to perform brain surgery, she decides to 'absorb' Blade using doppelganger. This results in Adam N.
Because of the merge, their combined brains are 'reset', resulting in Adam N. not remembering anything (powers/memories). Now I'm thinking back to Gido's theory. Since there are two souls in one body, their souls are partly merged, but since the souls can't completely mix, one soul will take the upper hand. Based on Needless 1.5, I'd say Eve's soul has the upper hand.

Something will happen (the gate going out of control, Adam N's powers rioting, the building selfdestructing, Saten/Gido doing something) and everything explodes, just like the PF zero blast (chapter 50). Once again Cruz will be in his 'white world' and unlike chapter 50, where he says 'do you regret having met me' to Blade, he'll vow to become stronger and find Blade/Eve/Adam N. this time.

Ishiyama and 666 come to know of Saten's supposed death by Blade's hand. Maybe they somehow recorded what Saten saw, but since Saten was killed before Adam N. was created, 666 doesn't know about the gender change. Hence, 666 continues the Adam project (creating Adam C. along the way) and give the order to search for Blade.

The chapter ends with the black madam finding an unconscious Adam N.

Speculations for Needless 2:
- Cruz/Yamada will again become one of the main characters. His story is not done yet. Remember the change of his eyes when he awakened and Saten wanting to protect him?
- Story will start out with Adam N. and Cain as main characters. Only later in the story will they come across Cruz/Yamada.
- We find out that Mizuha (founder of the resistance) lives and that she 'created/improved' Cruz/Yamada with use of the unearthed black box, the dna code of the second christ. This probably has something to do with Cruz/Yamada's change of eye colour when his power awakened.
- Saten lives, but he doesn't let 666 find out.
- Saten is working with Mizuha, that's why he seems to know more about Cruz/Yamada.
- Angels are using Gido's brains to plan an attack on earth.
- 666 continue to plan to fight against the Angels by creating more powerful needless.

Finally Blade made it! He is a savior of some readers that save them from turning to gays, but not lolicons. LOL
